As an online college student, I was scrambling to find Wi-Fi after the hurricane hit to let my school know of the issue and my online absence. I called this place inquiring if their Wi-Fi was working because if it was, I would go there to buy a coffee and send out some emails from my laptop top while I was there. Upon calling to ask if their Wi-Fi was functional, a woman answered with the most sarcastic attitude. After I asked if their Wi-Fi was working, she hesitated and said "Sure" in a very sarcastic tone that also didn't sound like she knew the real answer, she was just making it up. Since she didn't sound sure, I restated my question, "So your Wi-Fi IS working right now?", and once again the unsure, but sarcastic "sure" was said. I just said okay and hung up, but I had a feeling she didn't even know or bother to check if the Wi-Fi was working. I drove all the way there, tried the Wi-Fi before walking in to see if she was telling the truth, and she was not. I wasted my gas money because she couldn't bother to check and just sarcastically lied instead. Stressfully, I had to keep calling around. Thankfully Starbucks workers were much kinder and were honest when their Wi-Fi was down, but I eventually found a location of theirs that...
Read moreWow "Hug in a Mug" is a delightful trifecta of a coffee shop, bakery, and ice cream parlor, and it truly lives up to its comforting name. The star of the show is undoubtedly their house-made ice cream, boasting an array of unique and utterly irresistible flavors. The "Peacock Pie" is a revelation â imagine two whole pecan pies folded into a creamy, dreamy scoop; itâs an absolute must-try. Their "Brownie Fudge" ice cream is equally impressive, featuring generous chunks of their own homemade brownies, which are also available separately and are delicious in their own right. Beyond the sweet treats, their coffee is notably well-balanced and satisfying. While I didn't sample their espresso, my affogato was expertly crafted and thoroughly enjoyable, speaking volumes about the quality of their coffee base. The staff deserves a special mention for their genuinely friendly, kind, and informative service, making the entire experience even more inviting. Hug in a Mug is a true gem, offering a perfect blend of cozy ambiance, exceptional treats, and warm...
Read moreI frequently go through the drive thru and in the past two weeks I have noticed some weird errors and flukes but it didnât bother me too much. However, today is when it really came to a head as the issue seems to lie in them not ringing up your order in the system and instead relying on memory. As a result, i received dairy in my drink when i asked for oatmilk. They never told me my total, so I couldnât catch it then either. It was too late as i already drove halfway home before taking my first sip. As someone with a dairy allergy, this is not something I would want to slip up on - it can instill a sense of distrust in a food place. You need to ring these up and repeat the orders back to your customers.
Also, i am unsure what dairy was used in my matcha latte, but it was not Whole Milk. It was either heavy cream or half and half and it was foul. It tasted like curdled cream. I have never, even when i could drink dairy, had a Matcha latte with anything...
