Southern Shores Seafood — Restaurant in Valdosta

Definitely a treat stopping in at Valdosta, Georgia on our drive from Florida to Chicago. We are fans of sea food and reviews are really good so here's what we encountered.

Place seemed very homey and warm. Lots of locals just enjoying a meal and definitely love the accent out here y'all. Lol 😉 Staff - was polite and welcoming with recommendations on what we wanted to try. All smiles when it was happening ● SPECIAL SHOUT OUT to our server MISTY who killed it in service. Not only making sure by getting us everything we needed but her hospitality was awesome considering it's hard to find individuals who take pride in what they do. I hope your manager(s) appreciate your hard work! Food as you can see was very nice in presentation, brought out quickly, and hot. Hush puppies were fire 🔥 (Delicious) Gator, shrimp, clam chowder, devil crab, and steak fries were all on point. 0 complaints. Price was excellent as we both ate so much and bill was under $50........ YES, for seafood!! But don't forget to tip your servers well who bring the dinning experience to the next level of enjoyment. Bathrooms were a 4/5, they were clean, trash cans emptied too, soap, and paper towels for the most part but definitely could use a little more freshness and tidyness for an all around great dinning experience to the next level. HOWEVER, it's not enough to come down from 5 ⭐️'s. Just some adjustments and all set.

Last Saturday my mother, her best friend and me stopped by this restaurant for the first time. Not even knowing it was there. We typed in a restaurant in Valdosta Ga to go eat at and this was the first one we chose. Thank God we did especially coming from Sylvester Georgia. The place was absolutely "GREAT!" I called it the "Hidden Gem" only because we never knew it was there. From the time we walked in the manager greeted us and showered us with pure love! She saw that we was taking pics outside the restaurant and then offered to take the 3 of us pics together. I asked her can she take one of me outside by myself and the did exactly that. Never once hesitated. From the time we got seated our waitress was on it. Though she was young she still made sure we was good and taken care of! Oh may I add that I was celebrating my mother's early birthday. The manager told me that she would get her staff to sing Happy Birthday to her before we leave. The food came to our table piping hot! The food was really delicious! I don't think nothing I ordered that night was under a 10! Everything was exceptional the restaurant, the atmosphere, the manager, the staff, the cooks, the hosts, the food, etc! Plus, before we left the manager did exactly what she said. They sung Happy Birthday to my mother plus honored her with a slice of cheese cake with a strawberry drizzle. Job very well done! Great place to...

I ordered a Togo order at 11:36am, I came in for pick up at 12 wasn't ready. Around 12:15 it came out. I got my food and came back to work and everything was old. I got back to my job and sat down around 12:22, I called them at 12:27, I can tell it was sitting for a while. Also I can tell the shrimp was def from Walmart looked already cooked. Not fresh. My mushrooms was soggy and everything was just horrible. I only have a 30 minute break I work 5 minutes away. When I called the store to let them know that my 27$ wasn't worth this, MELVIN the manager told me "well it is a Togo order" I then let him know I was there BEFORE my order even came out. And my job is only 5 minutes away. He then says he will replace it but I have to bring the OLD FOOD BACK. Which is no problem but IM AT WORK, so they want me to keep the already old seafood in my car in the heat just prove it was super old? Crazy, also I didn't mind going back but again I only get 30 minutes on a break and I let him know I don't even know what time I get off I would have been fine to get in the books and just get it another day. I mean im the one taking a lost. I lost 27$ I also lost my lunch time and meal. But hey I guess this is how the business is ran. If I could give a double 0 I would. This...
