Galactic Greg's — Local services in Valparaiso

I went here a few times and the Manager Jeremy was a good guy and courteous and all, but I went here today and there was a skinny, black haired sales associate who's snide remarks to my questions about comics today make me not want to ever want to go here again. Not only was he deficient in his knowledge about comics, but he obviously lied to me about items to try to make a sale. For example: the cheapest comic book storage boxes sold for an extremely high price of $9.99 a piece (the next lowest priced ones were $19.99 a piece) and he said that's the price we paid for them, which is obviously not true because if they sold things at the price they paid they wouldn't have a business. And he also tried to get me to buy a venom 25 3rd print and said that some 2nd or 3rd prints of them were selling for $200-$300. While that may be true for a CGC 9.8 3rd print Stegman sketch variant, that't not what he was trying to sell me. I then asked him if there were any first appearance characters he knew about that were upcoming, which the sales manager Jeremy and I will usually talk about when I come into the store (the main reason why I liked going to Greg's), but he replied to me, "I don't sit at my computer looking at comics all day, your better off going on the internet and doing that yourself." Which I took offense to because I research comics quite a bit to flip them for a quick profit and was just asking him a simple question on if he knew any insider info, and he was completely uninformed about the products he was selling. I’ve been going here for many years. I’ve had subscriptions to their comics and recommend this store to a lot of people. Recently my comics were put back my subscriptions canceled due to being late to pick up (which is common for me since I work insane amounts of hours and I’ve been going their so long you’d think they would know this). They claim they tried to contact me, but I had no voicemail or email. I’m so disappointed in this comic store and now have to find another one. When you’ve been collecting as long as I have this is a huge hit to your collection. I’ve been told by others not use this comic store, but I never believed their complaints until now. It used to be a great place, but no longer. A new comic I was interested in came out and I asked them if they could get me all the alternate covers, and they said sorry, no. So I went online and bought them instead. About two months later I got some emails asking me where I was and did I want my comics? I guess they had gone ahead and gotten me the alternate covers, but hadn’t bothered to inform me. So no, I didn’t want them as I’d already bought them online.
