This building is the poster child of what it is like to live in the Midwest; run down buildings, poverty, shady people, drug problems, crime ridden, and just downright depressing. There is a small bird feed store, a Little Cesar’s, and a dollar general; that’s it. From what I heard there used to be a sporting goods shop, K-Mart, and other little stores, like dollar tree. As of 2024, however, there’s only the stores above left. There’s also always some shady dealings going on here, especially near the old K Mart. The parking lot is in very bad shape too, so avoid bringing your new car here. I would not recommend this “shopping center”, literally just drive down the highway towards Belleville, there’s way more shopping centers there. I would be surprised if this place stays open for...
Read moreAlthough all Kmarts need a serious update and store remodels (never going to happen) at least this Kmart is always well stocked and the staff is polite and helpful. I'm glad to see this Kmart is still holding on as most of the Southeast Michigan stores have closed. Them merging with Sears was the worst idea ever and honestly Sears could go and I would not miss them. But I do enjoy Kmart, this one specifically. I always find the best selection of big and tall under clothes at Kmart. There are other bargains you find as well. Hopefully this one continues to stay open but as a whole Sears Holdings will not be around...
