The customer service here is superb and staffed by some of the nicest people you could ever want to meet. This is an excellent place for vegan and gluten free diets.
I was here on opening night and we ordered a Holy Mole Burrito, Korean BBQ Bowl, a Bauman's Cider, hot green tea and 2 cookies. The burrito was great (pictured) The mole was delicious and the burrito had a nice mix of chicken and beans. An employee suggested that sour cream would accentuate the mole. I didn't do this but should have. My only gripe was the burrito middle was cold. Besides the temperature, it was delicious.
My partner had the Korean BBQ Bowl (pictured) and it was not that great. She is Korean American and was raised on traditional Korean dishes. In our opinion, (I tried her food) this bowl was drowned in a watery vinegar and ginger sauce that overpowered the whole thing. The beef was tasty but sparse. This bowl really should fall into a Thai or similar style since the flavors more resembled that cuisine. We expect Korean food to be spicy, mostly using a kochujang paste or soy/aminos, heavy on the garlic, jalapeno and green onions. Sesame flavors are a highlight in this style also. This bowl was devoid of the sesame flavors and the savory or spicyness she was hoping for. I have to agree with her.
The Bauman's cider was excellent! I'll go back just for that.
The cookies were huge and yummy. I tried the oatmeal chocolate chip (pictured) and the salted sugar cookie.
A very sweet manager was handing out cupcakes (pictured). I'm not sure they were a menu item, but she should open a cupcake store. They were fantastic and would rival Sprinkles.
We got to sample some smoothie varieties. Pretty good.
Overall this place is excellent and I would visit again. Their quesadillas looked amazing and are next to try.

Read moreI donât know whether this laughing planet is too far from Portland to have quality control or what is going on⌠But itâs never a satisfying experience. I think Iâve had my last turn at it. It does not stand up to the original product offered on Belmont or Mississippi or the other locations. The water glasses have lipstick and lip marks on them. It is not enough to run the glasses through the dishwasher and call it âsanitizedâ. All service wares have to look like something a person we want to drink out of or eat with that doesnât have somebody elseâs DNA left all over it. Not a laughing matter. Also noticed that sauces are served up from a cooler that is at foot level. Customer service procedure: Open the cooler stand there in your sneakers or boots and dip out sauce. Hell no. What part of food handling thoughtfulness went into that design decision? The sauces should be stored above counter level and certainly not at shoe level. Yucko. Zero laughs. Lastly, if youâre going to serve a burrito with pico de gallo on it please at least make sure that the other ingredients are heated. Serving cold burritos is not a laughing matter. A burrito that contains beef and beans and pico de gallo should not have cold beans in it. No way did the pico to Gallo cool down the whole wrap. That was a fully lame excuse offered by a âmanagerâ. Negative laughs. I actually was in here last in December 2018. Yes 2018. Thought Iâd give them a year to pull it together ⌠Apparently there was no improvement since that visit. I just didnât want you to think this review was from a one off. I ate there pretty regularly when they first opened. Luckily there are getting to be plenty of other choices for a quick bite on the east side of Clark County. Will be trying out some of the other places before returning to laughing planet. Hopefully they can get their...
Read moreMy FAVORITE Portland restaurant finally made its way to Vancouver! As a long-standing Laughing Planet customer, I have high expectations for each location to deliver the same atmosphere and food. The new Vancouver location exceeded my expectations. I love the variety of seating - bar stools, large booths, counter-height and regular-height tables. There is more greenery than other locations which I also loved. Love the robot mural and (of course) the dinosaur toys for the kids. I walked in with a very warm welcome from the staff and was checked on a couple of times during our stay. The food was prepared to perfection with the same taste I expect from all other locations. To new laughing planet customers - you wonât be disappointed by the flexibility of their menu (vegan? Gluten free? No problem!). ALL menu items can be customized to fit your needs. They have wonderful seasonal specials and holistic ingredients. They have a beer tap, kombucha, and fresh made lemonade, even margaritas!Donât get me started on the delicious cookies. There is something for everybody at laughing planet. I ensure you wonât be disappointed! Welcome to Vancouver - I could not be...
