The Club at the Park Apartments — Local services in Vancouver

October 2018, I came for another visit to see my friends that moved to Vancouver 20 months ago & property didn't break ground yet. And again, I made another visit mid April & my friend sent me a screenshot of the property's website. I was surprised to see how quickly the property was built up. With possible plans to relocate from Seal Beach, CA to Vancouver, WA. Planned to check out this resort-style apartment living during my visit.

Saturday afternoon, arrived to the property & it was hotel-like feel on the outside, but I was looking for something unique than the normal, average apartment style & structure. I travel to Las Vegas often & usually stay at "The Palms Place"; which is the residential building of The Palms Casino. I completely fell in love with that modern resort-style living, but feeling like home with so many perks. And not having so many buildings of units within the property, The Club at the Park is just 3 structures.

My friend, her teen daughter, & myself came to see if anyone was available to give a tour. Out comes a lady wearing a reflective vest & hard hat, she kindly asks how she can help & introduced herself as Athena. She had a nice smile, friendly demeanor as it seemed we missed the opportunity to view the premises due to closing for the day. Athena took a moment to walk us into the office & schedule me into a tour appointment for the following day with her associate, Eric. She answered questions with us & was very sweet & personable, not showing any signs to rush us out being it was already closed. I was very excited & thankful of Athena being attentive; having able to make a tour appointment.

The following day, met with Eric & he also had a nice, kind, warm demeanor & great smile just like Athena. Eric was attentive, asking questions to get a feel of my wants/needs of the kind of place I wanted to live in. Our conversations, come to find out that we're both from beach cities in Southern CA & he's a recent transplant to PNW of the same time frame as my friend & he worked for Irvine Company. It made me feel comfortable from that standpoint, I can feel a sense of trust & not just another number from someone who can be the "pushy" salesperson..as we all know business is business. But not with Eric Lopez, he took his time showing units of Studio, 1 & 2 bedrooms with each having a different view whether being on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th floor & what part of the building. Each unit he showed, it kept getting better & better. And I became more confused of which one I liked more, since all units offered something unique & different style based on the individual resident.

Eric made mental notes as to what my initial wants/needs are, especially knowing where I'm from in CA. I wanted a great view & feeling of the park, pool/jacuzzi area compared to the street view of trees & Mt. Hood, it was difficult to decide.

The entryway of the building is nice, with seating area to hangout by modern fireplace, the fresh scent that surrounds you within the building. Offers separate mailroom area & Amazon lockers for orders, no fee. 2 moving carts available for tenants use. Open parking spaces, carports available with additional fee. The courtyard is so ZEN, just perfect spots to just sit & lounge by the modern outdoor firepit, by the saltwater pool, jacuzzi, the vibrant colors of the table umbrellas & lounge chairs. The patio area where the grills are, lots of tables and seating. The community room is nice, again enough lounge seating by fireplace, tables, couch with flatscreen Samsung TV, wine fridge (BYOW or BYOB), free use of Keurig coffee maker supplied with coffe pods, tea & hot chocolate. Conference room is provided, but I hoped that a computer office room with printer/fax was part of it. It Doesn't have that amenity, maybe one day they can add one. Large Fitness room is large with all state-of-the-art equipment, including cycling video sessions.

The Club at the Park community has thought of the residents in mind & not just another apartment building. I have...

Just moved in end of last year and I am really enjoying it here. The apartment is BEAUTIFUL, the windows are a whole vibe and my daughter loves the park right out back, especially the slides and sandpit. I am excited to see the summer time energy here. The location is also great - our fav is that Trader Jo’s and Michael’s within walking distance.

The main reason I am writing a review though is because of the staff here. They are amazing would be an understatement - every time I have needed something they have always provided a safe space, support and overall kindness and compassion. Each person I have worked with or talked to has been so genuine and caring, it’s really refreshing.

Moving here was a hurdle due to personal experiences and they went way out of their way to fast track things for my time frame and kept open and clear communication throughout different obstacles that popped up on my end. There was also a billing mishap regarding one of the promotions and they fixed it for me immediately with no hassle. They also honored the better promotion for me when I was waiting on my paystub from work, even though they didn’t have to.

Maintenance is also great, there was a crack in the bathroom ceiling and our kitchen sink broke shortly after moving in - both requests were answered to within an hour or two and fixed efficiently and timely. Every one on their team is super friendly and were patient with my daughter when she got curious and nosey haha. Shoutout to Will & his team 👏🏽🙏🏽

Most recently, we have been getting a ton of noise complaints from the neighbor directly below us. My daughter is young so when we got our phone warning I made a ton of adjustments but the complaints continued from our neighbor - even when I could prove we weren’t home or weren’t being excessive. The ladies in the office were seriously SO understanding and compassionate. They made sure to set aside time for me that worked with my schedule to hear my side and gave me a safe space to share my perspective, all the changes we have implemented, my personal anxieties, and acknowledged my efforts. They made sure I left feeling comfortable and are also currently supporting a solution in progress. This situation could have been so damaging personally, financially, etc and they did such a good job upholding our rights as well as the neighbor below us and creating a balanced middle where everyone’s concerns where acknowledged and mediated. They have gone above and beyond every time it’s been needed.

As a disclaimer, I am an employee with IDM Companies and am currently living at The Club at the Park, and this is my HONEST review.

This is the second IDM property that I have rented at and I am beyond impressed. I have been noticed and welcomed by several long standing residents, everyone I have met has been so friendly. The location?? You cannot beat. With the CTC park literally as our backyard, Farmers Market on Thursdays, movies and concerts at the park, it has been so convenient and easy to enjoy the summer with my little one.

The staff - who I have personally worked with over the years are the real deal. Michelle is incredibly detailed, hospitable and has such a gift in managing any community with all the challenges that have been thrown her way. Gianna literally hand-picked the apartment of our dreams when we were searching. Always demonstrating exceptional customer service, is so personable and patient. Maintenance fixes any issues quickly and efficiently. I will often see Ernie maintaining the grounds early in the morning as though it was his own home. The property and grounds are immaculate.

The apartment itself is gorgeous - large open windows, the height of the ceilings makes the room appear so large with a jaw-dropping view of the park. I don't know if I just got lucky but I don't hear any noise. Lots of space on the patio - swinging on our swing has been our favorite activity to unwind with my son.
