I’ve been a Soy Grill regular for years now, usually patronizing the Sunnyside and Mall 205 locations. I have gotten consistently amazing service and food every single time I go there!! It’s one of my staple eat-out spots.

I found myself in Vancouver and saw that there was a location up there so I decided to call in for takeout my usual spicy chicken fried rice. When I got my food, I was met with the first red flag: normally I just put the teriyaki sauce on at the restaurant with the bottles they have for customer use. This location hid the teriyaki sauce behind the counter and was reluctant to let me use it, it seemed. The main point of this review came when I opened my take out container to put the teriyaki sauce on it. The portion size was laughably smaller than what I was accustomed to from the other locations, but I thought maybe I was just bitter and biased from the teriyaki sauce stinginess. It was heavy on my mind on my way home, heavy enough that I got petty. Real petty.

I called in a takeout order for the exact same thing from my usual Mall 205 store and bypassed my exit to go pick it up. As soon as I opened it to put the sauce on, my suspicions were validated!! I took them both home and actually WEIGHED THEM! I’m glad I did, because the portion size was much more different than what I had thought. The Vancouver location’s portion size was almost 1 WHOLE POUND less than the normal portions I was used to, at the same price (if not more with sales tax). Yes I took pictures, yes they are attached. So, let this be a word of warning that you’re not getting your money’s worth if you visit this location, you would be better off crossing the river. I gave it two stars instead of one, solely because the...

Poor customer service to a regular customer who refers people to your place. Never Again Will I Send Anyone There.

I call at 845pm to place a to go order. I am told we are almost closed, okay so take my order. I ask for teriyaki plate,I am asked only one? I say yes,she goes oh what else. I say 1 order of eggrolls also. She say oh we almost close, okay I understand. I am then told oh we only have 1 piece of chicken, maybe enough for chicken bowl.

If you only have one piece of chicken why ask me if I want more than one plate?

If you almost closed at 845pm why not change your hours to 845 closing then?

1 piece of chicken for a bowl your gonna charge me full price for? NO THANKS...

I WILL BE SURE NONE OF THE 50 PLUS KIDS I DEAL WITH EVER EAT THERE EITHER AGAIN.

THANKS FOR YOUR BAD SERVICE SOY...

I have been coming to this business for a long time. Today I called to place an order for take out and when I got there I noticed it was a new person in charge of the register. I payed with card then I ordered more food to pay with cash and the woman at the register was making comments. She said “ you are ordering to much food”and shook her head. This comment hurt my feeling because I never denied paying or asked anything to be for free. My whole order cost more than 100$ and she should be happy because she winning money. This comment made me not want to come here again because I’m just going to be bullied about what I order. Since the moment I got there I noticed a difference in the way she helped others who were not Hispanic. She was...

Wow! 12.00 for 6-7 chicken bites and a handful of lettuce for 12.00! Unreal! They robbing folks in there! Don’t go there! I want my money back this place is a freaking joke!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 So light I can carry with my pinky! This place should be shut down immediately for robbery!🤣🤣🤣They even charged me 1.00 more for more salad dressing. This place is a total disgrace! If I was yhe owner I’d be so embarrassed!🤦🏻‍♂️Even at 1.00 a bite of chicken which would be total robbery you should get at least 12 bites of chicken but I’d say for the price you’d need 24 pieces. Unreal what people try to get away with these days!🤣🤣🤣 Go to freaking grocery outlet and buy your chicken for Christ sake it’s .99 cent a pound!🤣🤣🤣

We ordered through Door Dash around 7:45 pm. Not near our place but we wanted to give it a try. It was favorable and warm when it was delivered 45 minutes later. I loved that you can get both chicken & beef. The shrimp was not what I expected or thought I was ordering since there wasn’t a real description but it had wonderful seasoning. I would recommend giving it a shot.
