I love everything I have tried so far. Their tacos, burritos, and horchata are delicious! Very generous portions all around. No skimping on the meat, cheese, lettuce, sour cream, etc. The burritos are super filling. I can eat half for lunch and save it for later. Very tasty. Don’t know how they do it, but their beef and al pastor is mouth watering good. I’ve had horchata before but it had been years. When I first tried horchata, I don’t recall having the same expression as I did when I got it here at Los Bros. Super flavorful and strong on the cinnamon. Big fan. Even when I’m full, I can’t wait to eat here again. I can’t help but crave it. I get the food here at least 2-3 times a week.
I only have a few notes, but it does not take away the quality of food that I love here.
When ordering the crunchy shell tacos alone, I wish they were also packaged in a box like the combo plates. Instead, the tacos are wrapped in paper and placed in a paper bag. Unfortunately, whenever this happens, the DoorDashers will grip the bag tightly on the sides causing the taco shells to break.
Inconsistency with sauces. Sometimes I’ll get 2 red salsas in an order, once I got only 3 green salsas, and another time I got 2 red salsas and 1 green salsa, and (very rarely, but has happened) on occasion I get no salsa. I have had to call the shop directly for salsa to be added because I got a DoorDasher that wasn’t messaging me back with the request to ask for salsa. I called the store, I didn’t get their name, but they were nice and with no hesitation asked me for how many and confirmed with me the name of my order and the items in it. It would be great if they could add a feature on DoorDash to add what salsas are wanted and the quantity.
This has happened twice now, but I have received other people’s orders when getting delivery for pickup. Not sure how the process works in person. I haven’t personally gone in to know whether or not the employees are actively checking the bags and giving the correct bags to the DoorDashers picking up or if the bags are laid out in a certain spot and the person picking up has to look for the names. Luckily, DoorDash makes it easy to get a refund with...
Read moreUpdate: I’ve since returned twice to this establishment and when I tell you I’m so impressed with the quality of food from this chain, I mean WOW!
Their breakfast burritos have the perfect papas which is difficult to find at places in the area. The bacon is cooked to perfection.
Their fish tacos are fresh and delicious. The only recommendation I’d have is to add a scant dab of crema to enhance the flavors from the dish. So delicious though.
Their chilaquiles with red sauce are BOMB. The egg was cooked to perfection, the chips crispy and flavorful. Added a pic but it’s missing the eggs that were cooked to perfection. I inhaled this dish.
This is my new Go-To spot. The only thing missing is the modelo. Hope they get a liquor license so I can enjoy a cold one with my next taco place.
Original post: Grabbed a carne asada taco combination plate to go from this small, new establishment. The tortillas were warm, delicious and the lime to accompany them were juicy and perfect. The same can’t be said for the meat and seasoning, or lack thereof. The meat is small, crumbly, dry, and bland. To help with the lack of flavor, they offer two sauces a verde (with a tasty kick) and a lovely and flavorful red sauce that carries a nice heat. The sauces are quite delicious!
The rice was thoroughly cooked although could use a stronger flavor profile. The refried beans were unremarkable and reminiscent of Taco Bell.
For the price point, not a bad option if you’re in a hurry but don’t expect to be...
Read moreThis is my second visit. I was going to review after the first visit, but my experience was not ideal, and thought I'd give them a second chance. On my first visit, I had three tacos. One beef, one pork, and one fish. I figure if a taco shop gets those three right, then they are my kind of taco shop. Unfortunately, all three tacos were dry and lacking flavor. I had to smother them in salsa just to add moisture enough to swallow. I figured they were new in business and still working out the kinks, so I held off reviewing. I returned today and thought I'd try the chili relleno and enchilada plate. It comes with beans and rice on the side. The beans and rice were the average type you get at any other fast food place. The enchilada (chicken) was dry and without flavor, just like my previous visit. The best part of the dish was the chili relleno. It was moist and cheesy and actually had a bit of heat and flavor. They staff is friendly, and the place is clean. During peak hours, it may be hard to find a seat for dine in. Having tried it twice now with mediocre results, I'm afraid I'm going to have to stick with the taco shops that do it a bit better. At 22 bucks for this plate and a soda for lunch, I just don't...
