Findings Market — Local services in Ventura

When I moved to Ventura in 2020, one of the first people I connected with was Whitney, and she instantly made me feel welcome. I wanted to support small and local, and during the pandemic I remember visiting Findings Market by appointment. I quickly fell in love with her shop and even more so with the community markets she hosts twice a year.

You can feel her passion and care in everything she does. From the way she curates each item in the shop with intention to how she brings people together through her beautifully organized markets.

I always walk out with something in hand. A soft cotton tee (or socks!), a card, or a gift for a friend. There’s truly something for everyone. The shop features a thoughtful mix of independent designers, small brands, handmade goods, artists, and artisans.

As both a customer and vendor, I deeply appreciate the space Whitney has created. It’s more than just a store. It’s a hub for creativity, connection, and community. I was really excited to show my sister this shop. Since the Findings Market Fair they had a few weekends ago, I was impressed by the women-owned retailers that sold to this shop. I definitely wanted to support.

Unfortunately, as we came in this morning, the girls behind the counter were too busy putting away inventory they barely looked up to greet. We were there for almost 10min without any acknowledgement. The shop has lots of really interesting and attractive products. But we were turned off by the lack of customer service. So Instead of buying from the Findings Market we noted the brand names and decided to purchase straight from the brand websites. Vintage burgundy & white checkered flooring greet you at the door. With natural light beaming from the skylights from the exposed beams, the cacti, to the crystal selections-the earthy vibes here ground you. You will find an array of household, beauty, clothing , baby, and handmade local goods. They were pouring candles when I visited. Every item feels special and hand-picked to ensure craft & quality.
