I've had my boat down on this Marina for years the old owners used to keep everything great and clean now it's full of dilapidated boats empty trailers blocking all the parking spots weeds 4 ft tall full of Poison Ivy and thorns people Now setting up canopies by their boats parking other places taking up more parking spots this place all they care about is their boat rentals and Boat Sales they don't give a damn anymore about their existing customers this place looks more like a junkyard than a marina Sam and Tim are both nice people but they just don't care about their existing customers this is an add-on to my initial review after finishing my review with saying Tim and Sam are nice people I would like to change that considering I was just called entitled and an assassin for giving an honest review if you read the response that I was given by Sam it was literally attacking me because I didn't acknowledge what they have done I've only acknowledged what needs to be done that is bad business this just goes to show you how this business is run when they verbally attack customers for their...
Read moreWe rented a 24' pontoon boat and one of the larger jet-skis. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We also added a lily pad rather than a tube for our kids based on the recommendations from the staff. This was excellent advice, and it made the day much more enjoyable. We had kids swimming in the lake around the lily pad while someone was driving the jet-ski and picking up new passengers.
The price was very reasonable. They were easy to work with. We didn't even have a reservation when we arrived. It was a Tuesday afternoon, so I imagine reservations are probably needed on a weekend.
The short trip down the river to the lake is a great sightseeing experience in itself. It took no more than 15 minutes from the break wall back to the dock.
We had a great time, and would definitely return to rent from Vermilion Marina if we are ever back...
