I love Rogers and Hollands; especially Teresa Holden. Teresa is amazing! She used to be at the Racine, Wisconsin store and we lived near that store that’s how we met her. We then moved to Illinois and still drove out of our way to Racine just to see Teresa. She was then promoted and went to the Vernon Hills, Illinois store. So we now shop at that store because of Teresa . I will say many years ago ( before Teresa was there ) I went to the Vernon Hills store , as I grew up in Illinois , and that staff was very rude and treated me like I wasn’t important because I wanted my amethyst necklace and earrings cleaned. - those pieces were my first items my now husband purchased - I guess they weren’t expensive enough to warrant the attention of the staff. So we started going to the Racine store and have been extremely happy since. We walk in and she immediately greets us with a warm and happy face. Teresa is very knowledgeable about the pieces in her store. We’ve been shopping with R & H for 20 years and have 26 pieces of jewelry- all bought at R & H and most sold by Teresa. Teresa IS our salesperson ; she is like family. We only go to her. She knows just what I like. If a certain piece comes in that she feels I would love she immediately calls me or my husband and tells us about it. This past Saturday we bought a beautiful tennis necklace and stunning pear shaped bridal set. My daughter and her fiancé also bought their wedding bands that day. They have 7 pieces of jewelry all bought from Teresa at R & H. Yes, there are other jewelry stores out there but we will never go to them. We will only go to Rogers and Hollands. My fiance and I went into this store to purchase wedding bands since we had gift certificates. The salesman (Robert), was pushy and trying to do anything to get the sale. We went ahead and picked out our wedding bands and purchased them. Him and another employee tried multiple times to process the transaction because they were unsure it they did it correctly. When they told us the price, it was shockingly low ($400 less than expected) and when I asked if it was correct, they confirmed. The next day, I got calls from them telling me that there was a computer glitch and they took off more than they should have. They stated I had to pay over $400 due to their error. Calling both the location and their corporate office, they kept refusing to honor the price we paid and said there was nothing more they can do to remedy the situation. They then changed their story from it being a computer glitch to a human error when typing in the certificates. It is very disappointing because when other stores and companies make a mistake, they honor the price or compromise. Instead, Rogers and Hollands basically said "oh well, pay it or cancel the ring". They didn't even try to retain us as repeat customers. As a result I decided to cancel the order. It's a shame because I did purchase the engagement ring at Rogers and Hollands and now I'm regretting I went with them. My advice, consider going with another jeweler for...

You want to hear a true story? I was getting a few repairs done and I asked the young man at the counter did he have a bag to put my diamond pendant in he gave me one I put in my purse. I was telling Theresa that I didn’t like my chain that went with my diamond pendant because it pulled my hair she said they had a sale on chains she said let me see it .i in my purse earlier and I could not find it for the life of me i went threw the whole purse I know it’s was in there because I just put in in there. I had everything in that purse I didn’t want to dump everything on the counter in a Jewelry store. lol But I couldn’t find my diamond pendant. I said I just put it in my purse just a few seps away. Theresa said I could dump my purse so I did still could find it. Theresa said two eye better are been than one I didn’t even think about I said here you see if you can find it she went through everything I didn’t mind because I couldn’t find it . She went through everything I said I just had it she asked the you man did he know were I put it he said no .
