Dec 20th 2012 Well as I said I returned to A.C.T Audio to get a new remote starter and alarm for my new car and as before I was treated with respect! Not like at the other place in Manchester where this same setup cost me $250.00 more! Maybe thats just what woman are charged there? Well anyway I have a great Python Alarm and remote starter now that was installed in less time than it took me to run a few errands. I will continue to do business with them and I hope everyone looking to stay warm this winter will do the same. P.S. Tell them Debbie recommended Act Audio...
Read moreAfter mediocre experiences at another store, I found myself wanting to finally fix the nonworking radio in my car for an upcoming road trip and I decided to try ACT Audio. I was convinced it was a wiring harness issue (thanks Google). First thing is, this place is located in the old Vernon Skate Park so for whatever nonsense reason I thought it would be cool to try them.
Second thing is, James the owner has two awesome and friendly dogs and if you’re a dog person he’ll allow them to come in the waiting room to visit you. I loved that.
My car was diagnosed within 30 minutes with a bad amp. My car is also 20 years old and I do not have a ton of expendable income. I shared my budget concerns and within 10 seconds James had a frugal solution- buy a used amp from a similar car of eBay and they’d install it along with a new radio.
Had the amp within 3 days and the follow up appointment the next week. I wasn’t even done playing with the dogs and my car was all set.
They thought maybe I had a bad speaker because it sounded a little crappy, I thought maybe the amp was broken too, but after playing around with the radio and putting on some good music, it sounds fine to me and I’m a happy customer.
They’re honest, kind and helpful and I really appreciated their work. Would...
Read morek my car in because the stereo was not working. They said it could not be fixed. They noted the wiring was not installed correctly and said they could fix it. It had to be rerouted through the fire wall. They were also asked to check my reception. They could find the problem. I had make an appointment for the wiring. I prepaid, that day. It was 203.00. They informed me i needed a new stereo. The cost was 253.00 installed. Picked up my car. Charged 353.00, and no reception, still. When I picked my car up, they forgot to reconnect my power for the convertible. When they checked the fuses under the hood, they left the cover off and slammed the hood shut on it. I took matters into my own hands. The only problem was it needed a new a new antenna. I fixed the problem for 20.00. The old stereo they claimed didn't work, does. During all this I asked for a cost for a back up cam seeing that the stereo came with a hook up for it. They quoted me 150.00 for the cam and 130.00 installation. I bought a cam on Amazon for 30.00 and did it myself. Act Audio is the perfect name. They ACT like they know what they're doing. Don't. Use anyone else. I guess my review was correct. They...
