After years of shopping in this store, I go in today to grab a few things. After paying and walking out, I check my receipt and realize that one of my items rang up as 37.99 when it was marked on the shelf as 13.99. I went right back in and the cashier apologized and offered to refund me the difference. The owner then steps in and says that she doesn't have to refund me, because even though the price on the shelf is clearly wrong, that she wasn't the one that put it there. She said it was the company or someone that deliver the item to the store. This woman was extremely rude. She didnt apologize or anything. I returned everything I purchased and assured her that I would not be back. Not because of the price, but because of her. While I'm standing there waiting for the cashier to refund me, I hear an elderly man ask the owner if she carried a specific item, and he then began to ask her questions about the item. She told him that she didn't have time to answer his questions. I couldn't believe it. I'm all for supporting local businesses. After meeting the owner today, it's clear that the woman has no passion for her line of work. She is rude, overpriced, and doesn't care about her customers. The customers keep the place open!!! After today, I will never step foot in that...
Read moreI have been going to healthway for ALL of my family of 4's needs that we arent able to find elsewhere locally, UNTIL NOW, due to the rude and nasty attitude I recieved from the OWNER of the store; I believe her name was Katy. Last week I went to return a box of individually packaged multi vitamin powder that I bought for my kids the day prior, not realizing it had a "flavor" unlike the probiotics the nice employees helped me find the same day. Said nice employees (I assume) work there much more often than the owner because I had never seen her before, but I was asked to come back to return the item when the store owner was in because of the package being opened. When I came back the next day I was treated like I must not have even looked at the box (while buying vitamins your looking at EVERY BOX) or had any common sense. The fact that the opened product couldnt be returned was fine with me, the attitude I recived IMMEDIATELY apon walking in the store was appauling, especially coming from a small local business OWNER. No thank you, I'll take my business else where, even if it has to be out of town. So incredibly disappointed after thinking I'm helping an awesome...
Read moreI have been going to Heathway for the 7 years I've lived in Vero Beach. It is a limited Healthfood store with no fresh produce but I have used it for everything else, spending between $200 and $400 per visit. But I will not be going back and will drive to Melbourne instead for the following reason. I was just there this morning (5/21/21) and I noticed none of the employees are wearing gloves and masks like they are doing at Fresh Mkt. I commented that it was ironic that a Healthfood store's employees were maskless while my mechanic was wearing a mask. They two girls behind the counter told me they didn't need masks because they were healthy and had good immune systems. How outrageous that they do no understand or simply don't care that masks are worn to protect others, not themselves. As someone with an autoimmune disease, I will not step foot in that store again. Their careless disregard for the well fare and safety of their customers and their insulting remark that I am somehow to blame for my immune response was unacceptable. There are other alternatives for the...
