I went in to get the top of my hair done for knotless , since I already had the back done already. Simple service , they said they would have to charge me 140 just for the top which already had me hesitant because I felt like that was overpriced since my hair was already half way done . (hair took less then 2 hours btw for 140) I went through with it anyway being that I desperately needed my hair done . They made the braids much bigger than what I asked for and when I asked for it to be done over they gave me a hard time . I even let them know Id pay the additional funds and the lady said she was busy and started talking to her coworker in their language while I was standing there . Which is beyond rude. I will never return back to this shop ever again . When you walk in the shop it doesn’t even feel welcoming. By far the worst service I’ve ever had. I would not recommend. The braids look horrible .

Terrible service. I called a week in advance and made an ‘appointment’ at 10AM. I arrived and wasn’t seated in a chair until 12:00PM. The seat I was sat in had no mirror, so I couldn’t see what she was doing until it was too late. She braided my baby hairs into individual braids and not even a full week later, those braids fell out and took my real edges/hair with it. More than 3 inches. I called to complain and was immediately bombarded with attitude, she told me I should’ve said something while she was braiding, despite the fact that I couldn’t see my hair until it was done. Oh, and they made me pay cash upfront. $250 down the drain, I live an hour away and paid for my edges to fall out. Don’t come here if you want professionalism, but if you want tension alopecia and women with attitudes in a cramped salon than by all means go ahead.

I went there twice last summer. First time the price was more than I was told. Only problem was I asked for small and could tell she was doing them bigger. Than started talking about it when I was taking pictures to see the size since they didn’t sit me in front of a mirror. Anyway I asked for knotless boho and she did regular knotless then “crocheted” like 5 pieces in my of crochet hair knowing damn well it looks a mess. The braids came out nice, now they need to focus on customer service.

My experience was mostly disappointing. Whatever I say here likely isn't going to change anything because Vineland does not have much to offer in terms of braiding salons for black women's hair. I have stopped in a couple of times to check out the place and their prices. Hair salons tend to have hair all over the floor, that is to be expected. But not only was there hair all over the floor inside the salon but well into the hallway. As for the containers with the combs and barbicide, the blue liquid was ridiculously discolored suggesting it had not been changed in a very long time. The comb attachment on the blow dryer had lint stuck in the teeth that they did not bother to clean out before using on the next patron's hair. If that weren't egregious enough the prices are excessive and arbitrary. I showed pictures of potential styles that I wanted. I was quoted the exact same price for each (nearly $200!). I settled for gel twists for which I was quoted $80. As another patron was leaving I complimented her on her hair commenting she had the style I want it but that I did not have $200. She looked at me very confused, told me that is not what she was charged while one of the technicians, looking alarmed, jumped in and said that was not the correct price. I will drive to Philly next time if I must rather than feel like I am being taken advantage of in a filthy...

Went to get a consultation bcs my hair was short for box braids. They told me yes i can do come in at 8am. Got there and it was packed. After 2 hrs a lady with an attitude started my hair and 2 braids in said my hair is too soft to braid. Then the owner told me not to worry that she would take care of me. After 1.5 hrs it was finally my turn and she told me she didn't have hair to match me. I had brought my own but she insisted I used hers. I told her I did not want burgundy and I wanted blonde. She gave in used what I brought.Charged me $200 still for medium length. The parts were croocked the braids were all types skinny chunky long short. The whole time I was uncomfortable everyone was giving side eye and talking in another language pointing at me. 2 days later all my braids fell off during the day. Very unprofessional. If they couldn't do my hair they could've just said no went i went in for the consultation. But i guess they wanted the $ and cared less about their...
