Great Clips — Local services in Virginia Beach

I've been going to Great Clips for years regardless of which state I live in. I've gotten the faux hawk for close to ten years now. It's simple and easy to manage. This visit, my hair came out crazy uneven and really chopped up. I had to go back knowing the only remedy would be to cut it even shorter. The manager re-did my hair. She explained that the assistant manager who'd cut my hair first time just wasn't feeling well that day. I would've felt better if I'd been told that the day of so I could've chosen a different stylist. I would've felt better with an apology, recut, and on my way. Instead I got excuses for the really bad cut. If you're not feeling well, don't cut hair that day. It's not fair the customer has to go through a bad cut, take more time to re-cut it making it shorter than you're comfortable with, and excuses for the bad cut. There was no discount or free cut on the next visit. Just reasons why the mistake happened to begin with. Just left great clips I got a fantastic haircut although I had to wait long as s* for the haircut. The guy working in there took maybe an hour or so to cut one man's hair. The female who cut my hair cut three men while he was still working on one and it was a basic haircut. not to mention he talked about video games the whole time and then took a six minute break to look through a cell phone with the customer. There has to be some kind of policy on a sense of urgency or something my God people have s* to do and I can only imagine what the girl was thinking that was working with him I'll come back but never to sit...

Went up to great clips after checking in online for my first cut there. I had stopped in the day before and spoke with the manager to find out how the process works to get a clean up of my new “chemo” hair. She was so sweet I came back today.
