I took a frying pan to the clerk to purchase it. Seems simple right? It was far from that. The lady at the front hit the wrong button on the register and had to call a manager to fix it. That's not a big deal, mistakes happen. That's when clown shoes of the year appears before me. This guy was absolutely clueless. After 5 minutes he couldn't fix the problem so I said I'll just leave and come back another day. He said "no, I got it." Well as it turns our he didn't have it at all. He starts telling me what he's doing like I care what the process of whatever he's doing is. At this point I'm getting my patience is wearing out. Mind you, this is 10 minutes into swiping my visa for a frying pan. He starts asking me for my name, address, drivers license number and I obviously decline.. still trying to buy that one frying pan. So he makes up numbers and letters on his machine to seem like I gave him info. So at this point I'm convinced clown shoes is the worst and I turn to leave to buy a frying pan with no hassle from anywhere but here. As I'm almost out the door he says "hey, your good I fixed it." First off my name isn't hey or good, it's sir to you, you idiot. So I reluctantly walk back in. "All you need to do is sign this return receipt." Is this guy messing with me?? So I told clown shoes I'm not signing anything. Then he has the nerve to lose patience with me. We exchanged pleasant words as I'm walking out the door 15 minutes later with no frying pan. I went to Kroger and bought one at the self check out line. It was quick and she told me to have a nice day when I left. I wish clown shoes...

I recently visited the Ollie’s on Laskin Road, and I must say, it was an experience like no other. The merchandise selection left me in awe—there’s truly something for everyone. Having relocated from DC a few years ago, I’ve frequented stores like Roses, but Ollie’s is in a league of its own. In fact, the Roses here far exceed those in the DMV area, but I digress.

What made this trip stand out was the exceptional customer service provided by Ms. Danaya (Naya) and Ms. Sharon. Despite shopping at Ollie’s for over six months, I didn’t realize I could check my email or the app for additional discounts until Ms. Naya kindly informed me. Her knowledge and professionalism were refreshing. She patiently helped me download the app, ensuring I received the maximum savings possible.

Ms. Sharon also added to the experience by showing me how to spot emails with discounts and upcoming events. The time these ladies took to guide me through the process endeared me not only to Ollie’s but to their entire team. Their service went beyond what I expected—they’re not just sales associates, they’re ambassadors for the brand.

In summary, Ms. Naya and Ms. Sharon are true assets to Ollie’s, and their dedication to customer service is beyond reproach.

You always feel like you find some really great deals here, then on top of that if your a member you save even more with coupons through the mail. Ollie's helped set up my house when moving here, and thanks to the price points I was able to meet, I was able to get any additional item I needed and not go over budget. Now, unlike other stores this store demands you take your time walking through the isles because of the plethora of inventory they have nestled neatly beside one another like a well choreographed ensemble. I don't mind the hunt, not one bit, I find myself actually coming across products I didn't even know existed. If anything it's a tour of the many different items you may need in a simple life, and if you find it grab it cause it might not be there next time. Their inventory is always evolving and staff are always willing to help with what you're looking for as well as if there is a big line forming, hop up from the back and open another register np, you don't even need to look around awkwardly either, they just know what needs to be done and just do it, definitely a well oiled multitasking crew here. I actually prefer this store over any other stores around here. Every week I'm in there seeing what's new, and there's ALWAYS something new 🥰
