I am extremely disappointed with the repair service I received at Rocks. While I typically purchase all my jewelry in Duluth, I needed some minor repairs and chose to support a local business. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. My wedding ring, in particular, is now in worse condition than when I brought it in. The ring is covered in scratches and appears to have been carelessly buffed, resulting in small dents and a dull, matte finish. The prong holding the main diamond is noticeably too large, and the diamond itself now feels insecure. Furthermore, the gold in the area of the prong replacement appears to have been melted, creating an uneven and unprofessional look. In addition to the damage to my wedding ring, a small stone was replaced in another ring. During this process, the band was unnecessarily bent or pushed out of shape. Neither ring was polished or cleaned after the repairs were supposedly completed. I am now forced to have my wedding ring repaired by my jeweler in Duluth. I am at a loss to understand how such extensive damage could have occurred. Read moreI was so disappointed with this place; my initial interaction was great and I wanted to support a small business to get my diamond in a new setting. I was told it would be two weeks. It ended up being more than six because my order was “misplaced” and when I called the first time no one bothered to look for it and told me it just wasn’t done and to keep waiting for them to call me. It took two more calls to finally get someone to find it. When I finally received it, there was no apology or service recovery whatsoever. I was so disgusted; now it’s been a month wearing my new ring and the gold is such poor quality it looks like I work with gravel or something so I’ll have to get it reset again (not at Rocks!). Read moreI dropped off jewelry to be repaired in early October 2018, I have yet to receive two pieces back. They lost or misplaced my pearls. The bracelet was given to me right before my son's passing. I finally received a call back, after 2 months and was told he is too busy, they looked twice for them and could not find them, once the holiday rush is over he will look again. I have stopped by 4 times and call 3 times and he acts as if him returning my call today should be satisfactory. PLEASE think twice before leaving anything special in their care.
