I have used this Home Depot for over 5 years for tons of projects. When it is time to start a new project, you have to think about which hardware store to go to since their main competitor is across the street. I will admit that I use both depending on what I need. They do not have the same type of inventory. I will say that if it has anything to do with tools, I always use Home Depot. They have much better higher end and quality tools. I have used the rental department, which has come in handy and something much better at Home Depot than the other store, When I order online, I use Home Depot and always have an easy pick-up experience when I walk in. They are helpful and quick at picking my order and sending me on my way. It was nice to see they did bring the Hot Dog stand back after it was closed for a while because the smell gets me ready to work, and there are times I will grab a quick snack :) The shelves are stocked, and I can usually find the items I need. I also will use the app when I'm looking for a certain item. A few days ago, I needed a tub drain exctraction tool and was not sure if it was in tools or plumbing. I just spoke into my search bar, and when you find the item, it will give you the location by isle and location in the isle. Sure enough, that was in the tool section of the plumbing isle. I have never had a bad experience there! One last thing is the pickup area near the contractors side of the store. I can drive my car right in the covered area and load things easier and quicker that way. I had a personal interaction with the store manager the other day in the pick-up area, and she was very nice and friendly!

Walked in to spend a $1,000 on the dewalt snowblower. Only to have our time wasted. Store associate (Lex) playing stupid when we asked for a new boxed Dewalt šŸ“¦ Snow blower. It showed that they had 7 in stock. Rather than helping us, he sat there and played ignorant & even had the audacity to say, "why don't you just take the one on the floor that's already built". Then walked away leaving us for 30 minutes while, the service desk told us to do some shopping. Upon checkout the clerk with the old man (Mark & young) clerk took turns making extremely loud banging noises, Throwing random items into bins at the service desk. Disregarded the fact that we are veterans, & once again, making us wait for the slow 🐌 associate (Lex) to approve the military discount. We spent way more at other locations without having to be verified. Rather than using radios to communicate to the team. Each associate acted like they didn't know each other. No help loading, or asking if we needed assistance. I do not recommend this location. Hard to believe we got the whole thing on video.

Yesterday I called Home Depot in Ingleside & asked to speak to someone in the "lamp" department. I was transferred to the Electrical Dept. & a very friendly gentleman by the name of Paul answered. I described a problem I was having with a lamp - I thought it maybe needed rewiring. He said they sold kits but weren't able to do the rewiring, although I think I recall him saying that Home Depot had lists of outside contractors that I could be referred to. I told him I'd stop by later in the day, and when I got there Paul took a look at the lamp, did a few tests, and discovered that the problem was probably a faulty bulb I had been using. Bought some new bulbs and my favorite lamp is now back in working order. More than making my day, Paul was just a great fellow. He seems like a real "people person". What a great experience for me! Thanks Paul!

My experience here was less than satisfactory. I asked for assistance in plumbing only to wait 5 minutes and have the gentleman walk up and assist another man in the Isle aside from myself who was specifically waiting for his help. I understand it's his job to ask everyone if they need assistance, but it was frustrating none the less, so I attempted to figure it out myself.

Next, I went to do an exchange and the system had a glitch and the gentleman sent me down to the other side of the store. He was clearly agitated with the malfunctioning equipment and acted on his agitation which I found unprofessional.

I then proceed to the returns line where a woman named Amy "assisted" me. She did not ask if I found everything okay, how my experience was, how I was or even said hello. Her computer also malfunctioned which she proceeded to yell for assistance.

Eventually she figured out how to process the exchange. She asked if I wanted cash or store credit back and I said cash. She said, oh well we can't do that.... and just handed me the card with the credit. I then needed to remind her I also needed to purchase items for my "exchange" as she sat there stuffing handfuls of peanuts in her mouth. She processed my request and then immediately handed me my receipt and started helping the guest behind me. She did not say thank you or have a nice day or any sort of acknowledgement for that matter.

Home Depot will never have my business again and I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. It is consistently negative customer service when I have gone most recently and in the past.

Menards is right across the street, my suggestion-- go...

My visit to the Volo store this morning on April 11th was very disappointing to say the least.I found a tool i needed on line at the Volo store that showed it being in stock at the store for a specific price. when i arrived at the store and looked for the tool i could not find it when i asked for help in the tool department the lady said to me good luck with that and called for some one to help, 18 minutes later the store manager arrives( Jason)with a total attitude and said "WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR " I responded with what i was looking for and he pulls out his phone and proceeded to looks it up and found just the tool and not the specific kit that i was looking for i told him thats not it and tried to show him what i was looking for on my phone and his response was"YOU LOOKED IT UP WRONG AND THATS NOT OUR STORE " i showed him it is the store and it is correct he said no its not and we do not have it,so i asked him to order it and when he looked it up it came up to what i was trying to show him on my phone,he huffed and puffed and said your making this really difficult and said he could not order it because the store showed it in stock . He then responded with you will have to go some where else. I really hope some one from HOME DEPOT reaches out to me to correct this issue or i will not shop there ever again and i will not recommend that any one else shop...
