I’ve been a regular at this dispensary—2-3 visits a week since they opened—but my latest experience has me done. Ordered a 1g Hybrid Blue Dream cartridge (confirmed on their website under the Hybrid filter), but got a Sativa-labeled product instead. I get cannabis genetics can vary—Blue Dream can lean Sativa or Hybrid depending on the batch—but that’s why accurate labeling is non-negotiable. We wanted Hybrid, not Sativa, and wouldn’t have ordered otherwise. Called to sort it out (figured it’d be faster than emailing corporate), and the front desk guy and a woman I spoke to were great—promised a callback. Then Manager Lenny got on the line and tanked it. Rude, unprofessional, and flat-out wrong, he insisted, “Well, that genetic can lean Sativa, so it’s a Hybrid that could be labeled Sativa.” That doesn’t add up. Their own menu has five clear options for cartridges: Sativa, Indica, Hybrid, Sativa Dominant, and Indica Dominant. If his reasoning made sense, why wasn’t this cartridge listed under Sativa or Sativa Dominant instead of Hybrid? Click Sativa Dominant, you get their Sativa-leaning carts. Click Sativa, you get their Sativa carts. Yet our “Hybrid” Blue Dream came labeled Sativa—and it’s not even their correctly labeled Sativa Dominant “Chicago Blue Dream” cartridge, which is a separate product on the site. Lenny’s explanation doesn’t hold water; it feels like a flimsy excuse. Every other Hybrid cartridge I’ve bought here or elsewhere is labeled Hybrid, period. He offered a measly discount on our next visit like that fixes it. For a $24 cartridge? With three other dispensaries 1.5 miles away? Nah, Lenny, we’re not coming back. Lost two loyal customers over this—terrible way to treat...

Do NOT use this facility. They nickel and dime and I have been shorted on products I bought twice in a 10 day span. First off, I bought sleep aid thc tablets and noticed the seal was broken. I went back in the store and they gave me a free pack. Cool. As they should. When I got home, there was 18 tablets in a pack of 20. I didn't say anything about it. Tonight I bought 2- 7 pack pre-rolls. When I got to the car, one pack had 7 and the other pack had 3! When I went back in to figure it out, the worker just said "You've been here 2 times and both times there were problems." Alluding to it being my fault. They basically said they don't touch the product and it's my problem. I called the police. Thankfully, the officer rectified the situation, but the workers at Aroma Hill have BANNED me from this location. DO NOT GO HERE!!! If you want good options, there's an EarthMed close by in McHenry (especially if you're a medical card holder) and there's multiple other dispensaries in the area. Unprofessional!

I also had an impatient worker when the facility wasn't busy. While I was trying to figure out what I wanted, he asked me to step aside so he could help the next customer. I wasn't there for 60 seconds and felt rushed so I left. Guy with a beard.

They also do not display the price you're paying at the register. You have to take their word for it that it is the correct price. I am a medicinal card holder and I'm supposed to get 30% store wide. I have never once seen the price displayed on the register nor have I ever been given a receipt. Do not trust this place. Do not go...

Meghan is above and beyond one of the best examples I’ve seen of truly great management, and her staff is a reflection of that. They will ALWAYS go above and beyond for you, get you the best deal, guide you thru any questions! I’ve seen the manager Meghan go above and beyond with rude; unruly customers. If you haven’t stopped in, 10/10 highly recommend, this is the only spot I consider going because of the amazing team, service and savings I receive. Thank you to Meghan and the fox lake team for showcasing the highest level of service I’ve gotten in the industry. For example, A month ago i dropped a 20$ bill as I left, the staff went thru review camera footage and called me within the hour to let me know I left money on the ground.
