Phillip gives a great review, although I’m not sure I entirely agree with his rating rubric. Which is an excellent point that we’ll discuss later. This is a nice wooded area. It is used primarily as a disc (frisbee) course - it’s like golf with frisbees, but no bros or rich while dudes. I’m fact, most of the people that I see out there are pretty chill, groovin kind of people. Much different vibe. There are several paths/trails that run through the course which I use for running on my lunch breaks at work. I try to be mindful not to run through where people are playing. There’s also a trail that goes all the way back to behind the middle school and I’ll usually see deer when I head back there. But there’s a small creek you have to traverse which can get a little tricky. As for the rating scale, yea this trail is not the same as trails in Colorado. But then the trails in Colorado are not the same as Mt. Rainier or the beauty of the Alps. So do we rate/judge according to a global comparison? Do we rate according to local comparison? Do we rate according to the satisfaction of the experience we have in that moment? Or an average of all of the experiences from that specific place? It’s a great question that I honestly can’t say that I know the answer to so I’m definitely open to feedback!

This is a disc golf course on an old farm/wood right off an expensive neighborhood. There are no parking signs all around the trailhead. I suppose you could park down the road at the high school or medical center, but what’s the point of the trail and course if it’s inaccessible. I parked in the nice neighborhood. The “trail” is a disc golf course In a field and mulched forest. Not wild. At the far north end it gets quiet for a little before you hit the road again. I would not recommend as a hike or walk if you’re not into disk golf.

Five stars goes to trails in Colorado, but this is pretty good for a random little walk in South Jersey. It abuts the Stafford Woods Disc Golf course as well as Stafford Farm, with views of each. This is just a nice trailhead and alternate entrance. It's also not terribly far from Eastern, which has some biking trails behind the school. Definitely a nice little place for a walk or a trail run. You could possibly Mountain Bike here, but it's designed more as a walking trail.
