While checking out last night around 7:45pm, I was refused service after waiting in a line for about 20 minutes behind 3 other customers. I asked the cashier, an older woman by the name of Margaret, prior to being waited on if the store did cash back? I was told yes, but only up to $40. After waiting patiently to make it to the front of the line, she proceeded to tell me that she could not give me cash back because she had no cash in her drawer. After repeating what she said to me to confirm, she then said she only had large bills. She directed me to go to another line to get cash back. I kindly declined and explained to her that after waiting a significant amount of time to be checked out I would not be waiting in any other lines. I then asked her to call the manager over to get change for the big bills. She put her light on to signal for the manager, and began ringing the next customer. After completing the check out for the gentleman behind me, I watched her hand him over more than $10 in ones. I then looked at her and asked her if she was serious. She then proceeded to get loud and said "What? I do not have cash in my drawer. I only gave him $25 in ones. " After continuously asking her if she was serious, she got loud and asked me if I was serious as if I had done something wrong. I was in sheer disbelief at this woman's behavior. I was being treated poorly, and after being courteous to her, I could not understand her behavior. I was taken to another register by the manager where I explained the story to her. At that time, she kept offering her apologies, but not one resolution. I asked the manager how would I know what the resolution would be? Only then did she give me a paper with a pen to write my name and number down. I will not be shopping here again after this horrid experience. Target, please do better screening when hiring your employees. I understand staffing shortages are real. However, you have forever lost a customer...
Read moreLet me start like this…. WOMEN specifically…. This is for you. First off this Target is my favorite to visit. But today I saw something that didn’t sit right. So I was looking for some items and I was in the travel isle where all the small soaps and items are. Well there were two smaller women at the back wall looking at items. I’m a very vigilant person as I’m from a big city. A man who was about to pass the isle noticed the woman and was staring at them awkwardly. They had no idea as their backs were turned. So I minded my business but remained in the isle looking for what I needed. But his behavior was odd so I was watching him. I know it’s wrong to assume but I swear my intuition was telling me not to leave. So to try and break this trance I very loudly said excuse as to get by and stand between him and these women. They didn’t flinch or even notice us behind them. Since I didn’t move he eventually left but he only moved to the next isle. I approached them and whispered to them just to be mindful and I shared what I had seen. They looked at me like I was crazy and I don’t think they believed me. I swear I have never had an experience or done anything like this in my life. WOMEN when you are out shopping please just be aware and mindful of your surroundings. After telling them I left the isle and saw him on the other side of the isle and to avoid me the women turned down the isle where he was. I never felt that feeling before but it was a very real scenario. So please again...

The staff were being racist they didn't check other customers receipt. the loss prevention called the Voorhees officers and said it was an argument outside with customers. The loss prevention boy was near exit and also the girl associate was near when the cashier said take it to guest services to the customer . The customer mentioned about checking balance on gift card but just because the customer didn't buy them at that time didn't mean customer didn't have the money to purchase.obviously wasn't that important to buy at the time.
