No, returns are not easy. Attached is a current copy of Kohl’s return policy. I went to exchange some clothes my daughter got for her birthday to a bigger size. At first I was told very curtly by a front cashier that I could not even exchange the clothing for a different size without the receipt. Another front cashier corrected this and nicely stated that I could exchange the items for a different size. I was followed to the back by the first cashier who seemed intent on making sure I could not exchange or return anything and made me feel not only targeted but I felt this was a terrible example of customer service. I was able to provide the phone number to a customer service representative in the back that the items were purchased under and after finding them in the system, they refunded cost of the gift items to the original purchaser card. I went ahead and purchased the items I had picked out for exchange anyways, and then found I was overcharged for each item. There is currently a 20% sale on Jumping Bean clothing and this customer service representative charged me full price. I looked over the receipt and returned it all after realizing I was overcharged and left the store empty handed. I was extremely dissatisfied with the experience in this Waco location.. and hope if anyone has some similar experience they decide to go...
Read moreLike most Kohl's, many items are overpriced, but you can find some good deals.. Having their rewards card is helpful, esp. when the Kohl's cash is earned. However, if you are a minority, you might feel unwelcome here.. While my friend and I (both of us are African Americans) were shopping around the store, you couldn't help but feel the eyes on us. While I was trying on things in the fitting room, employees were literally following my friend around the store when he was really just looking for me. He even felt obligated to buy something just so they could feel more comfortable about him not stealing (BECAUSE NOT ALL BLACK PEOPLE STEAL) and he was still continually followed. He even heard over one of the employees loud walkies for them to watch him by who I could only assume was their supervisor, very unprofessional.. The lines were decent and the cashiers otherwise friendly. Again, proceed with caution if you are of...
Read moreThe store was stocked with a good selection of Christmas gifts. A floor mgr. stopped me to ask how she could help (l am older and was alone.) I told her what l needed and she took me to where my item could be found, then asked if l needed anything else to include could she carry the item fo me. I didn't need any more help and thanked her. She left.
There were about 10 other customers in line at checkout where l met her again. I recognize this entire interaction was early in holiday shopping, but at no time was she impatient, impolite or disrespectful...all behaviors l have witnessed/experienced by various sales personnel in stores in the past...especially r/t my being older and the assumption by them l might be 'slow'. I will say l am not that swift with technology advancements, but my money/credit is up to date as...
