This establishment was terrible today when it came to customer service and communication. I walk in and tell the lady what it is that I want, not sure what the name is but her client chair is #8. I wanted a fill in ombrĂ© set. Simple enough so she says someone will be with me shortly. Ok thatâs fine. Maybe 5 minutes go by and a Caucasian woman comes into the establishment and sits and explains what she wants as well. 10 minutes go by and the same technician then comes back over, asks again what I want and itâs also understood I came in before this woman. She then comes back 5 minutes later and takes the Caucasian woman back and says to me âI will service her first because I donât have time to do your nails, someone will be with you shortlyâ. Iâm sorry, I thought it was first come first served during a walk-in appointment. Anyway another 10/15 minutes go by and she walks back up to the front and I ask when is someone going to help me. She then proceeds to say âSomeone will be with you shortlyâ. Now Iâve already been waiting about 30/45 minutes and I still havenât been seen. The guy that sits to the right of the door then sees Iâm still waiting and asks what it is I need and he tells me to wait in another technicians chair that does not come. I guess once he realizes theyâre working another customer, he sends me to another technician that sits on the far left, next to the aisle in the second row that has the fur stool. I then begin explaining what it is I want, the fill in ombrĂ© set, and the design, and sheâs explaining to me she canât do ombrĂ© with the gel polish I asked for because it wouldnât cover the blue ombrĂ© I previously had. I said ok, how about we do a dip ombrĂ© manicure, she then says âDip does not provide a good ombrĂ© lookâ. I then stated ok letâs do a fresh set to ombrĂ© the polish and then she proceeds to say âThis is a gel polish, we can only ombrĂ© with the dipâ. Iâm confused and annoyed at this point so I say just soak off the set I have right now and just do a gel manicure with my natural nails. When she brings the acetone bowl over, she then puts someone else in the chair while Iâm soaking and Iâm thinking âAre you going to finish this person that came in after me while this is soaking off before coming back to me?â I then get transferred again to Ms. Bonnie, first row, first seat closest to the aisle who did a good job and was able to service me in a professional, respectful manner. Overall she was the saving grace to this establishment. Itâs many other places in the area that provide nail services and would probably take much better care of you...
Read moreIâm reading through a lot of the reviews and I see some were pleased and some were not. Well my experience is mixed but not sure Iâll go back. I was recommended to go to Kierstyn for her designs and nails lasting a month. Well I went to her and yes her nails did last a month to the point I was tired of them lol; no polish chips but did have only one crack after about 3 weeks. No biggy and had it repaired. Made my follow up appointment with her and texted her that I was leaving work on my way; she responds I had an emergency and need to leave; can we reschedule for WThFr. I choose Friday since I got off early (3:30). She knows I work in DC and take metro cuz I told her thatâs why my previous appointment was at 5:30. I get a reminder text that Thursday for a 4pm appointment. I text her to remind her Iâm coming from DC and wonât make a 4pm appointment but Iâll get there around 5âŠ..no response. So Iâm thinking ok, sheâs just busy and donât have time to respond. Get there at 4:50 and no Kierstyn. Call her; phone goes straight to VM. Text her Iâm here but youâre not; no response. So I get someone else to do my nails; Bonnie. She does a nice design that I showed her except I chose a silver butterfly. Take my hands outa machine and notice she used a gold butterfly. Ok no biggy. She removed the âprotectionâ in the stress area Kierstyn had added; results were nice nails but thin. Paid $95 and gel chipping terribly on thumb by week 1 and one of the gold butterflies tarnished and one still shiny. Week 2 hit my nail on my bed; 1 cracked. Few days later washing dishes and hit another nail; another nail cracked. Hit my hand and another nail cracks. Now I donât mind paying for a nice design but what I do mind is paying $95 for nails that donât last beyond a week or 2. Go back for nails to be fixed and guy suggests a fill for what itâd cost me to get the 3 fixes and the tarnished butterfly removed. Get fill and thicker nails $65 chrome design. Why week 2 my gel chrome is peeling on 1 hand. đ±
Their nails cost too much for their gel not to last beyond 2 weeks and nails constantly cracking down in my meat. My daughterâs nails are also lifting terribly. Get 1 fixed in week 2 and a few days later, 3 more...
Read moreI have nothing positive to say about Custom Nails. If you donât have a particular nail tech you are going to do not, I repeat DO NOT go in there as a walk in. My initial thoughts when I sat down for my pedicure was this place does not appear clean. I had an older lady that immediately brings out the electric file without asking if I have gel or regular polish (which I no longer get gel because the electric file has damaged my nail and made them thin). She then tries to push me multiple times to get gel because âit last longerâ I do not like getting asked multiple times the same thing after I have declined. I told her the color I was interested in which was a light pink and she chooses for me, I ask her does she have something lighter she says no and when I ask for the book to look at other selections she refuses again. I wanted to leave at that point but I was with someone and didnât want to interrupt their service so I stick it through knowing I will never come back . After my service she asks me if that was my bag and we move it to the other side of my seat because I assumed she needed to get to something. She then starts pulling at my shirt and after I show confusion and reluctance she explains she was going to give me a shoulder massage. Although others may appreciate that I feel as though you should ask before touching and pulling on someoneâs clothing. I didnât bother complaining because there is nothing they couldâve offered to make my experience better I just know I will not be back. I donât know how they have such a...
