Today, 11/27, my daughter and I came to USA NAILS as we’ve done for the past 4 months not expecting to leave out and that be our last time. We made appointments, one for a full set and one for a full set and gel pedicure. Due to time we weren’t able to keep the pedicure appointment and decided to only do nails. May WAS my tech as she’s been for the last 4 months. She came over in an obvious rush and sat down immediately asking if I was getting a design. I spoke and she spoke back and then began doing my nails. The existing set needed to come off and she proceeded to pop them off and soak them. In the timeframe that she was removing the existing set, she got too close to my cuticle with the nail tweezer in an attempt to remove the old tip. Out of reflex and because I was in pain, I removed my hand from her hand temporarily. I let her know she was moving too fast and that it hurt. She continued on as if she had an attitude with removing the set and putting on a new one. I asked her to make the set more square, she said she couldn’t do it. She applied the gel and went through the normal process of applying a new full set. I picked out a natural color and showed her how I wanted my nails this time. At the mid point of my nails and seemingly irritated, she asked Dan if he would do my daughter’s nails. She’s 13 and wanted black French tips and a charm. Dan did her nails with no issue or hesitation. She was extremely happy! Meanwhile my daughter walks back over to me from Dan’s station and I’m still at May’s. She finishes my nails with a basic nude color and white French tip. The total came to $166. I was wondering how 2 full sets and take off were that much. I asked her and was told mine was $91 and my daughters was $75. OUTRAGEOUS but we already got the services so I paid. The total was 166.75 including the service charge. I pulled out a $20 and asked for change. In the midst of me asking for change and while my daughter is talking to me, May says “ This is the last time I am going to be able to do your nails - you can come back if you want but someone else will have to do your nails”. When I realized what I thought I heard, I asked her to repeat herself. She said it again. I asked her what does she mean. She said “It’s just my feeling and I dont feel comfortable doing your nails”. I asked her why she doesn’t feel comfortable, she responded the exact same way. I looked at my daughter puzzled and she looked at me the same way. I left Dan a tip and left. Meanwhile they talked loudly in their language. I sat in my car for a while and tried to break down what happened because I was honestly confused. After about 15 mins, I called back and asked for a manager. Turns out, Dan is the manager. I explained to him my concerns and his response was May thought I was too particular and didn’t want to service me but I can come to someone else there and have them do my nails.I explained to him after he spoke that I am a paying patron expecting a service. I felt as though, I have a right to ask for what I want respectfully of course. The establishment is only what it is because people support the business. I can go anywhere and get my nails done but I chose to keep coming back because I honestly liked it there. Tina was great on my toes every time I went. For May to say that to me was VERY hurtful and quite frankly a slap in the face because I’ve been loyal. When she’s there, I go to her because her work is great. I’d like her to be a little more helpful when you ask for nail suggestions but I understand she wants you to come in there, knowing what you want, showing her a picture and she can work from there. I’ve adjusted to that. I’m not sure if it was just me, but every time I came there I felt like her energy was off in a way. I honestly chucked it up to a bad day before, but today proved her issues were bigger than me. Customer service is a specific field. USA NAILS lost a great customer. Overpriced and a bad attitude won’t ever win. I can go elsewhere and spend my money and be valued as a customer. WE...
Read moreI have been going here for a year because of the low prices but you definately get what you pay for. My last 5 or more visits there is always something wrong. My last visit I went there and there were multiple workers just sitting around doing absolutely nothing while I had to wait almost 35 minutes to be taken back (there were only 2 customers there other than me.) They don't hold a conversation with you while your there and make you feel comfortable, the workers only speak to the other workers in their language. I had just been there 1.5 weeks prior to this visit and got a full set put on and the woman doing my nails told me my acrylics were lifing up a lot and I should just get a new set. Why would I get a new set when i just got a new set 1.5 weeks ago. Mind you, when I was there 1.5 weeks ago, I left out of that place with my nails looking like they already needed a fill in! They looked horrible, they did not look freshly done. The boy who did them did not get the acrylic anywhere close to my cuticles. Thats why I had to return so fast (1.5 weeks) because they looked like they had been growing out a month. I wish I could include pics. So my very last visit I got white nails with one gold finger. The woman did not distribute the polish evenly at all and you can see the brush strokes in my nails. To make it worse, she didn't cover the white polish all the way with the clear coat so my nails look lumpy, some has clear coat on it but the edges have none at all. I wish I could show you guys so you dont think im complaining about little things but they really do look horrible. I messed up both of my thumb nails because she put the layers of polish on so thick that they just wouldnt dry underneath so after sitting under the dryer 15 minutes, I go get in the car and BOOM there goes the paint on one. I go to get food and pull my debit card out 10 minutes later and BOOM there goes the other thumb. This place used to be okay which is why I gave them many more chances but after that last one I will not...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars, I would. I've given this nail salon multiple chances, since they had a nail tech who did decent work. I called to make a same day appointment, and requested Dan. The young woman who answered the phone said he longer works there. So, I asked if there was anyone there who could do French full set with designs. I overhead her asking someone in the background to confirm, and then she said my appointment was booked, and assured me I could get my services done. When I arrived, I intuitively began signing in. I didnt even notice the young lady at the front desk, because she was laying in the table on her phone. No greeting or anything, even when the 1st table nail tech prompted her.. this shouldve been my first sign. I arrived 5 minutes prior to my appointment time, and waited for about 10 mins, no problem. A nail tech then ushered me to a nail table, where she started to file my nails. When she tried to give me the color selection, I showed her a photo of what I wanted. That's where it went south. She stated that she, nor anyone else working, had time for that because they had appointments after me. So, I advised her that I, too, have an appointment booked. She insisted that her appointment is after me and she didn't have time to do my nails. So I politely said ok, and gathered my belongings. This was the last straw for me with this shop. Its fine that rhey couldn't do it, but why not just say that over the phone, rather than making me drive there/plan around my appointment time, etc!??! Their customer service is subpar. Do NOT recommend, and I will not...
