I recently had an experience at Sweet Nectar Shop, and while I've consistently enjoyed their services in the past, a recent incident left me with mixed feelings. I booked an appointment for what I thought was 11:30 am, only to discover later that it was scheduled for 11 am. I believe this was the website glitching as I was certain it was at 11:30am and it even automatically added to my calendar after booking. This misunderstanding resulted in a no-show fee being charged to my account.
The spa's website has, unfortunately, been prone to glitches in the past. Slow loading times and occasional errors during the booking process have made online scheduling less convenient than I'd expect. As someone who values the ease of online appointments, these technical hiccups have occasionally hindered my overall experience.
As a college student on a tight budget, I was genuinely looking forward to pampering myself and had always considered myself a loyal client, having spent thousands of dollars at the spa. While I understand the importance of managing appointments efficiently, I expected more flexibility and understanding for loyal patrons who may encounter scheduling hiccups; especially when they have never no-showed before.
The issue lies not in the quality of service, which has consistently been excellent (especially with Claire and Riley), but rather in the rigid enforcement of a policy that seems unforgiving, especially for clients who have invested both time and money in the establishment. It's disheartening to see a spa prioritize a no-show fee over maintaining a positive relationship with their dedicated clientele.
What surprised me most was that I've never encountered such a strict policy at other businesses, even in the service industry. Many establishments show understanding for occasional lapses and seem to reserve stringent measures for habitual no-shows. This experience has left me questioning the balance between client loyalty and adherence to policies that may inadvertently alienate those who have consistently supported the spa.
While Sweet Nectar Shopās services continue to impress, I can't help but feel disappointed by the inflexibility of their no-show policy. For a business that thrives on creating a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere, the enforcement of such policies seems counterintuitive to the overall customer experience. I hope Sweet Nectar Shop considers a more client-centric approach to their policies, ensuring that loyal patrons aren't penalized for honest...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI seriously cannot say enough good things about this shop! Every single one of the ladies that work here are amazing and so kind. I felt like everyone in the shop was always so excited about my wedding, counting down with me with each appointment. I started going here because I heard about their incredible Bridal special! (Check out their website if you don't know about it)
Blythe helped me with my skin services and developed an easy skincare routine for me, since I am typically very low maintenance. I always looked forward to my relaxing facials with Blythe and she is just the sweetest person! Add in the little neck and shoulder massage during the mask, and ahhhhh it's divine! I don't think my skin has ever looked this clear and it absolutely glows!
Claire did my makeup for my wedding day and oh my gosh...I cannot tell you how incredibly talented she is! She listened intently to what my vision was during the trial and despite me making some last minute tweaks, she absolutely nailed it! As she applied my makeup on the big day she made me feel so comfortable and relaxed and I knew she was truly excited to be a part of it. She made me feel like my most beautiful and confident self on the most important day of my life.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreSweet Nectar has been amazing to work with! I've been visiting the shop for a year now (since my engagement) and I have only great things to say. I worked with Blythe for monthly facials leading up to my wedding day and I cannot recommend that enough. I have terrible cystic acne and having a breakout on my wedding day was not even a concern of mine and that blows my mind! I worked with Ashley for airbrush makeup on my big day. We had a trail prior to the event day and that completely put me at ease. I was worried because I did not have any example photos of what I was looking for but I explained the vibe and she immediately knew what I was looking for and ran with it. She was very responsive leading up to the event and I really appreciated the planning check ins and updates, her timeline was fantastic and kept me at ease. She managed to do makeup for myself and 4 other ladies all before 10:00am! It was, over course, a super hot and humid wedding day but my makeup held up for 14 hours! I recommend Sweet Nectar to everyone. I work in the wedding industry and recommend them to all of my potential clients and I've bought gift cards for friends and family because I know they'll love the shop! Thank you...
