Apparently this is NOT the place to purchase a motorcycle battery, in spite of the Duracell name and the unique feature of having threaded battery terminals. The battery is made in Malaysia.... Other good stuff comes from Malaysia, but not these batteries. The 24 month full replacement warrantee is bogus. On 9/18/21 I purchased Duracell12BS battery for $109.70 with my military veteran discount. I installed it in my 2016 Triumph Street Twin 900 which has only 7000+ miles on it. Two days ago the bike refused to start... after three 55 - 65 miles rides earlier in Sept 2022. I took the battery to the store expecting a replacement (it was approx 1 yr and 1 week old) and all I got was a hard time...and an offer to charge it overnight and test it & call me the next day. Joe called the next morning and told me the battery tested good so I rode the Street Twin to pick up the Duracell battery. Meanwhile I had installed a 3 year old Royal Enfield battery that came from my RE 650 INT when I needlessly replaced the battery due a a partially blown fuse in the Battery Tender lead about a year ago. The bike started instantly with the 3 yr old battery from the RE 650 INT. That battery had been on my shelf as a spare & had not been charged for 2 weeks.) I picked up my Duracell battery and put it on the shelf to use as a paperweight as I do not trust it. It has all the symptoms of a cell going bad as shown by the delay with the indicator light on my Yuasa smart charger taking the better part of a minute to change from yellow to green when batteries in all my other bikes go instantly to green even after sitting for two weeks or more. I told the two young guys at Batteries Plus I would be purchasing future MC batteries at WalMart as they are cheaper and they do not give you a hard time if the battery fails while...
Read moreMy experiences with Batteries Plus Bulbs (and with this location in particular) have always been nothing less than stellar. The guys know their products, are friendly and helpful, and have always gone out of their way to make things easy for me as a customer.
Speaking specifically to this location: It's clean, brightly lit, and well organized. With my most recent order: I was greeted from the desk as soon as I walked in. When I announced that I'd ordered online for in-store pickup, they knew exactly who I was, had my items ready for me, asked me the appropriate questions about core returns, and so on. The mood in the place is...cheerful.
Contrast that with other places which are often dirty, dimly lit, with parts all over the place. Places where they barely acknowledge your presence, can't find your order, know nothing about what they're selling, and have the atmosphere of a pit where unappreciated workers are sent for their daily torture.
Also: Without hesitation, they carried the new batteries out to the car for me and carried my old ones back into the store too. Now, you might ask, why mention this in particular in a review? Because I've been to other places where they expect you do this yourself! And, if you ask for help, they look at you like "Hey, I'm making minimum wage...you expect me to carry this for you? Dream on!" Now, I'm no slouch, but these batteries are 60 pounds a piece! Any help offered is a godsend when dealing with one of these boat anchors...let alone TWO! So, immediate kudos go to these guys for helping out without even being asked.
In summary, I'm very pleased with this company and this location. Give them a look the next time you need a product or service they offer. I think...
Read moreTook my 3+ year old Samsung Galaxy S7 for a battery replacement. They replaced it, and it was ready in the time they promised. After using it for a few days, I did not notice any change in the battery life from what I experienced before its replacement. When I went back to the store to ask them about (since it has a warranty), and the guy behind the desk looked at my phone for a few minutes, I was told that it was operating as expected. That an older phone works harder with updated apps and software releases and I shouldn’t expect its battery life to be like new. Another customer in the store said he worked for Verizon and said the same. So I’m out $65 for nothing.
It would have been nice for the guy in the store to have told me this when I first went to the store. That I shouldn’t expect any better battery life even with a new battery, obviously they knew that, and I wouldn’t have had them do the service. But I would have appreciated their honesty and customer service and come back to this store when I needed something that they offer. But no, I wasn't told or advised anything, they just took my money anyway. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. But I’ll never go to this or any other of their stores again, and I suggest you...
