Ended up here as our normal place is closed on Monday.. First re-visit after 5-6 years, stopping going before as it just got crazy greasy...
Starting off with the good. KamWah's egg rolls are very tasty. They're clearly different from everywhere else, no two shaped the same so I suspect they actually might make these onsite verses selling some yi-pin brand frozen eggrolls like all the take outs in this area..
The strange; Sesame chicken, the sauce on it was incredibly thick to the point the container effectively became a jello mold of chicken chunks, stiff enough I was able to flip the thing upside down, nothing came out, it was a brick..
Steamed dumplings had tasty filling however the wrapping on the dumplings was easily 1/4" thick, really bizarre...
Chicken chow-mein was pretty good, however salty and some of the onions and celery you could tell was not fresh A dark funky green, and mushy in a not kinda good way.. Also they used chicken thigh meat which is "different"...
WonTon soup Broth had a very different almost sweet-n-salty thing going on, the sliced pork inside was good but there was also a massive blob of pork knuckle in the bottom of the cup, the kind of thing generally anyone would remove.. The wontons themselves we're your average frozen yi-pin stuff..
The bad - Really really really really really (add 4th power) salty..Clearly msg added, and no i'm not salt sensitive, this was just rinse me off and try again salty ..
This takeouts on the edge of passable- I want to like it as the old school vibes cool and you can see they keep a clean shop but the food...
Read moreThe staff was very nice and overly happy. Unfortunately, the food was horrible. I got a chicken with broccoli lunch special, general tso's lunch special and a quart of hot and sour soup. The chicken and broccoli was disgusting as well as the rice tasting like it had been sitting in an old, moldy attic for 2 years. Although the hot and sour soup was recommended by another reviewer, it too was very unsatisfying and I threw it out after half a bowl. I order this same soup at almost every Chinese place around and this was the worst by good measure. The general tso's was actually good. The sauce was good as well as the seasoning for the chicken. They only thing I would ever order from here is a pint of general tso's AND...
Read moreProbably one of the worst Chinese food meals I've ever had. Not exaggerating with that statement either. Got General Tso Chicken - Tasted half cooked and poorly seasoned. Egg foo young - A mess in the container and was really liquidy. Pork fried rice - the rice tasted artificial, like how chemical laced vegetables taste, and the pork was also poorly cooked. Even the fortune cookies tasted off somehow, how do you mess up fortune cookies? The only thing that was any decent ironically was the cheesesteak eggroll. Wonton soup was passable but not enjoyable too. This place is so not worth the price. AND they only...
