Go to Dino’s gym which is 24/7 with keycard access or on base. Planet Fitness is terrible altogether. I didn’t believe it until i went there for a month. I don’t know why but the lady asked me was this my location when i checked in. I have access to ALL locations. It’s like $40 or $50. Which is like .0083% of my paycheck. I guess she never saw me before but that is very alienating for one. If it wasn’t my location why would i be able to check in??? If you actually work out PF is a waste. No deadlift/squat platforms or bench press. There is only Smith Machine’s. Smith Machines are not great to teach stability or managing weight. I was going to keep the membership, go to Dino’s for $40a month, and still have free access to base. It isn’t worth keeping the membership. The machines are even useless because the range of motion is limited and i noticed the weight stacks go to a very short point. It’s too many people and not enough space for free weights. PF is definitely not a gym home. I do recommend it for disabled people and kids. I’m not joking or insulting people. Just trying to tell you not to waste your time. If youre a novice you need to be in a real gym surrounded by people who know what they are doing. This is going to be the place you pick up really bad habits.
I digress. Im sure based on all the other comments they will respond to mine. They focus way too much on the image of the gym and not the physiques of people who are trying to get...
Read moreI used to go to the one in Atlanta and thought that one was okay being that it was the only one I’d ever been to, and it’s only 10$ a month. So, when I went to this one in a smaller town I thought it would have less equipment. Boy was I wrong. This has to be the nicest planet fitness. Atlanta had four smith machines and four stair masters. This one has 7-8 smith machines and I’ve never had to wait on one like I did in Atlanta. There’s always an open stair master being that they have around 8-10 of those as well. They have two of every weight machine and they’re all placed together according to upper body and lower body. Makes it easy to navigate if you’re new to the gym. They just added even more equipment as well and it doesn’t feel over crowded the way they placed everything. I will say with the new addition it would be nice to see more 45 lb plates. Due to the new leg press many people take the 45 lb plates to use on that machine which is understandable but it makes it difficult if you’re trying to use the smith machine bc they’re all being used on the leg press. The facility is very clean. The new machines also count your reps so you don’t have to worry about losing count, they keep track of your time in between reps and they’re very...
Read moreI'm in the middle on this one. Love the Staff, including Excellent Management, there. However; Air Quality in the Facility is Poor. I'm guessing it's because of the Tanning Booths. Even when inside, my eyes burn and it could be from the Glycerin and/or Glycol Substances in various Tanning Lotions. Being someone Allergic to VAPE and VAPE Related Products, it's, for me, difficult to breathe Inside. The Air Filtration System should disconnect from the rest of the Facility. People in Tanning Booths wear Protective Eyewear and they apparently have no Allergic Reaction to Tanning Product. Side Note, a Patron smoked a Substance, which caused me to contact Local Law Enforcement. She was searched however whatever she used, to smoke what made me quite ill, she disposed of. U had the Manager escort me back to where the person inhaled the substance and the Manager was immediately overtaken by the Fumes. I was assured that the person would not return to Planet Fitness, but, as you can see, things are in the Air at this location. I would be interested in Contracting with Planet Fitness, to Train the Staff on Measures, i.e. Security and Safety. I'd rather stay Retired, however, that might not be the Case. I like...
