OVERPRICED...Yikes. This was my first time into this store. As soon as I walked in I was very excited about the amount of product they had. Shelves full of Pokemon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, Sports Cards, and others. I picked up a tin of the newest Pokemon set and was appalled by the prices. As you can see by the many pictures I took every single item in here is overpriced by alot. I don't mind paying a little extra at my local LGS (Wizards Asylum) for example their Pokemon tins are $25 not $40. Supporting local stores is important but overpaying by double or triple what the items are worth is not going to happen.
Prices on items I took pictures of. Zapdos Tin $40 - TCG Player $22 Build & Battle Stadium $80 - TCG Player $35 Snorlax Go Tin $40 - TCG Player $15 Eevee Box $80 - Gamestop Exclusive $40 Singles - Umbreon V $40 - TCG Player $15 Mew V $30 - TCG Player $10, ect.. Charizard Reshiram Deck $200? š TCG Player - $50 MLS Blaster $60 - Ebay $15 Tyler Herro PSA 9 $75??? - Ebay $10
You get the point. All their prices are insanely higher than any other online or local store. The sports card section was just as bad with brand new hobby boxes over $100 more than what they go for. I think they just made up the single card prices. As none of the graded cards have ever been worth that much even when they were brand new products.
Another huge problem with this store is that they are cash only. I haven't had cash in my wallet in over 5 years. Its 2023 we live in a digital age they need to have a credit card system. I read multiple reviews where the owner said it was due to people scamming them using credit cards. It seems as if a charge back happened along time ago and they lost the appeal and now do not take credit card payments. Even if I found something I liked at a good price I wouldn't have purchased it because I don't have cash and I am not using their atm. Every other store in the United States uses credit cards and "scams" should not be an excuse to not have them.
I didn't have any issues with the people working however the replies to many of the negative comments are ridiculous for any business owner. Calling people broke losers is not a good look.
This store could EASILY become a five star store if they reprice their products to current market value or even a few dollars above like any normal store. They have a great selection of products but need to fix their prices. They also need to have a credit card system. If those things were to change I might come back and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI called to see if they could look over a few random cards I have accumulated over a few months span. Nothing too extravagant. A few Kobeās, Westbrookās, Jordanās. Some autographed cards like Jason Witten, Miguel Cabrera, and a Jameis Winston card. Which he proceeded to tell me that not only were my cards only worth a 2-5 dollars each, but that Winston card was worthless because not only did he sick, but he wasnāt in the league hasnāt been for awhile. (Thatās when I knew he was full of it) Dude must be living under a rock, or donāt know who the New Orlean Saints are⦠Either way, doesnāt need to be running a sports card shop. I understand not knowing EVERY player on every team. But someone like Winston, let alone a QB should ring a bell in any sports fan. Needless to say. I let the guy rant and just took my cards to another shop where they said all my cards were worth over 200$. I just donāt like how 2 people looked over 20+ cards and just by skimming through them and determined they were worthless without even researching any of them. I understand everyone is looking for those big ticket cards. But donāt tell me to come in so you can look at them and not even look any of them up. You spent more time talking them down than you did actually looking them up. Iāll take my business somewhere else from now.
To respond to the owner that commented You lie and make stuff to try and make your point. When I originally called. I never mentioned 80-90ās cards. Because I had more modern cards. So thatās not true. -You donāt want to waste people time but yet you went on and on for about 10 mins about how Winston isnāt in the league and hasnāt been for awhile now. Which is very different than just being a 2nd string QB. So which is it?! lol. Do you just foam out the mouth with stupidity on purpose like this all the time?! Unfortunately I have been in that warehouse and was not impressed. Just boxes and shelfās everywhere with no real sense of direction or anything. You walk in and are greeted by a grown man Telly tubby that doesnāt know much about sports. Have fun losing more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell this going to be a 100% honest review. I have been in this store several times because of selection on packs. After trading and some selling to the store owner I noticed he was VERY dishonest and a terrible business owner.I just went into the store and what I saw made me write this. On my previous visit I brought in approx. 120 auto and mem. Sports cards. He stated they would end up in one Dollar boxes and a few of them would be in 5.00 boxes. So I stated well I know you have to make money. He offered me 30.00 cash and 40.00 in trade. Which is 70.00. I just saw probably 80 of those cards in the 10.00 box. I just brought in a whole stack of cards to see what he would offer cause I lost my job. In the handful of cards I brought in were (2) 1973 strikeout leaders Nolan Ryan/Tom Seaver cards,1972 Frank Robinson,1971 rookie Steve Garvey,1985 tops Walter Payton,1977 Andre Dawson, 1980 Nolan Ryan,1974 Rod Carew,1970 Lou Pinella,1975 Fred Lynn,, Hidden Gems Tom Brady Ana a few nice rookies Sam Howell,Desmond Ridder and Carson Strong and a couple vets cards, Brett Favre and Wayne Gretzky. He offered 10-15 dollars. What a insult!!! I have collected for 30 yrs and that was my last dealings in that place. He told me to bring bulk cards and any cards I do not want because he will buy them all. I drove 25 min from my house to walk out of that store selling enough cards for gas money to make it back home. He gave me 5.00 for like 6 cards. I have him a couple chances to redeem himself thinking maybe he had a bad day or issues at home but through talking to other collectors I hear...
