Terrible terrible terrible by all standards, service is borderline chaotic, food is sub par especially when most of your party eats and finish their food while others await to be served. You can do a lot better by eating at home using TV frozen dinners and watching paint dry.
Edit #1: thank you for reaching out. I was present yesterday with my entire family and friends in a big table, after sunset surely. We all ordered just about everything on the menu. to start: none of the waiters identified themselves to us, there was one girl and two guys (girl had glasses and braids and two guys who looked young.)
our beverages were missing, my friend ordered a coke and never arrived, others ordered tea and coffee and some came and some didn't.
All the food that was ordered had to be served in an auction fashion (where the waiter will just call out the food and look for someone to raise their hand) (that doesn't help at all since like 8 of us ordered the meat lovers combo!!!!!). It was as if none none of the waiters were communicating with each other I guess.
a lot of food came out in a chaotic and disorganized manner. some of us had to eat while others were finished, plates were piled up on the table and no one would remove them, no silverware provided, no one refilled waters throughout. it was really upsetting.
we asked for certain items not to be on the plates (no grape leaves with the veggie sampler) but BEHOLD, they messed up the order and like no one listened in the first place. few Kunafeh were cold but we ate it since there was no alternatives. Baklava was missing from desserts (3 of them) BUT they had no issue putting it on the bill.
we had to go through the bill line by line to correct which items never arrived, it was so embarrassing to point out those items on the bill because we are sure that no one from the wait staff knows what items came out of the kitchen. we ended up with two extra dishes of chicken kabob that no one ordered.
hope that clears things...
Read moreSolid Service, Room for Ambiance Growth at ZamZam
While entertaining some out-of-town friends on a recent visit to Oklahoma City we stumbled upon ZamZam looking for a last-minute dinner option. While the overall experience wasn’t mind-blowing, it had a few highlights!
Stellar Service Deserves 5 Stars! Right off the bat, the service at ZamZam was great. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, taking the time to explain menu items and answer questions with enthusiasm. They made us feel genuinely welcome and valued throughout our meal.
Food: 3 Stars – Tasty, Familiar, Room for Improvement
The food itself was good, but didn’t quite reach the “wow” factor. We tried a mix of dishes, from kebabs to falafel, and everything was cooked well and flavorful. However, some dishes felt a bit standard compared to other Mediterranean restaurants we’ve experienced. Perhaps incorporating more unique regional specialties or experimenting with bolder flavor combinations could elevate the food to the next level. I’m no chef so not sure what would work.
Atmosphere: 2 Stars – Cosy Potential, Needs a Spark
The restaurant’s been around for 7 years, and while it has a comfortable, casual vibe, the atmosphere felt a bit outdated. Some minor updates seem to be in the process, but not sure how long that's been going on. Some décor, lighting, or music could create a more inviting and vibrant ambiance.
Overall:
Despite the slightly underwhelming food and atmosphere, the exceptional service definitely makes ZamZam worth considering. If you’re looking for a friendly, welcoming spot with familiar Mediterranean fare and top-notch service, give it a try! But if you’re seeking a truly unique and immersive dining experience, you might want to explore other options. I look forward to...

The staff is top-tier—especially the women working there. They’re consistently polite, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. They check on you regularly, making sure everything’s good without being overbearing. It’s rare to find service this warm and consistent.

Food:
The food is fantastic. Easily among the best halal cuisine I’ve had in the city. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and flavorful. My only suggestion: some dishes could use a bit more salt. I understand everyone’s taste is different, so it would help to simply place salt and pepper shakers on each table, allowing guests to adjust seasoning as needed.
⸻
Drinks:
The fountain drinks are tasty, but they’re a little too carbonated. The over-carbonation is noticeable in the flavor, and even the staff seemed to struggle with overflow while filling cups—often leaving the cups sticky. A small adjustment to the carbonation settings would make a big difference.
⸻
Ambience & Setup:
The restaurant has a bright, clean, and inviting atmosphere. Lots of windows bring in natural light, giving the space an uplifting feel—perfect for daytime meals, coffee breaks, or casual meetings.
⸻
Hookah Bar Concern:
One major issue is the hookah bar located right next to the dining area, with no proper divider or sealed door. As a result, the smell of smoke and noise easily travel into the restaurant. When you’re eating, it’s not ideal to smell someone’s hookah flavor or hear the lounge noise. Installing a swinging or sealed door would massively improve the dining experience for those not...
