The food was honestly amazing. I would order takeout here any day but I will never go sit in this restaurant ever again. We had a table of five people and we had to share two bowls of salsa and queso. I asked for my own and the response was quite literally, verbatim, “if we give you your own bowl we have to give everyone else their own”. Isn’t that how it goes? Your own silverware, plates, salsa etc? Or am I crazy?
No plates, were given either. Probably because dishes I’m sure. They told us they were short staffed and did not want to do dishes..quite literally just..didn’t..want to. With a single other table of four people in the restaurant. One friend did not get what she ordered and had one refill the entire time we were there, which she had to ask for. One friend actually had to get up and go to the bar to ask for another beer just to see the server on her phone in the back. To top all of that off, the server began to talk negatively about our table and how I asked for my OWN sauces, as if that made me unreasonable or rude.
Order take out, do it. It’s so good, but my friend comes in once every few months from another state, this was her goodbye dinner. We would have gladly ordered more drinks, ate more food , got desert and left her a significant amount of money as we do every time in celebration, but honestly the entire experience was miserable. There’s no justification or excuse for not even being able to have my own salsa bowl in a restaurant full of 9 people. The whole experience was so frustrating because all we wanted to do was have a good time. We were polite, respectful, and have ALL worked in food for a very long time. I have never tipped less than $10 in my life and I feel no remorse for not doing so this go around. If you decide to go I hope your experience is much better than ours was, and your server takes good care of...
Read moreI would not recommend this place to anyone looking for good food. The El Pastor my mother-in-law ordered was greasy and not palatable. The flautas I ordered were dry and brittle. They say they include cream cheese, but it's only a small sprinkle of it on top of the bed of lettuce. The icing on top of the cake was when we got charged for one additional soft drink because my son switched from lemonade to sprite when asked if he was ready for a refill, because the lemonade was very sickly sweet. They also tack on an automatic 15% gratuity at the end. (To clarify, I have zero issues with tipping, and the server wasn't the issue. She was okay. We always tip and tip very well. It was the being surprised at the end of our meal with it being automatically included when we got the check, as was the being charged double for a drink we asked to have switched because of how impalatable it was. Normally, we tip our servers 18% - 20% gratuity, which is what our server would have received directly from us). When we asked about why the automatic gratuity and double drink charge, they said it was because we were a party of 6 (even though we had two kids, and even though we had split checks.) The person we spoke to behind the counter wasn't our server, but someone else and they had a very flip and uncaring attitude about it. In addition, there is absolutely no automospehere in the restaurant, just boring white blank walls. Only positive is that...
Read moreIt was a lazy morning and we wanted something different to wake us up. We had been wanting to try this spot for a while now and it didn’t disappoint. You are quickly greeted with chips, salsa, and queso. The chips are amazing and I did what I sometimes do, I mixed the queso and salsa together to give it a little kick. It was a great combo. I had not tried lamb meat in my Birria tacos yet so I decided to try theirs. I was very happy with my choice. The tacos are great and the meat was tender and juicy. Their rice and beans had a lot of flavor. My Girlfriend got the Pina Loca Fajitas. Holy pineapple Batman this was freaking delicious. It has so many flavors incorporated. Steak, shrimp, and chicken. All the regular items in fajita’s served in a half pineapple. They also had a great trio of salsa that they bring to the table. This is a must for foodies looking for a great authentic Mexican Grill. Oh and they have a ton of seafood options. So we will be going back to try as much as...
