Unprofessional,unorganized, and dangerous. The register line was wrapped around and down aisle's. Understandable, its the holidays. 3 registers were open, Suddenly all three women at the registers closed down and started tidying up and putting clothes away in front of 50 plus customers still waiting in line. When the employees were asked by customers in line why they were shutting down the registers. They said they were doing their job and cleaning up their area. "Theres nothing we can do" two employees said. The manager came a long while later, after costumers consistantly asked the women behind the register to get the manager incharge. When asking the manager if she was going to open up the registers, she yelled at the customer saying that ""corperate cut over 60 hours, I'm under staffed, is there anything else you have to say!?"" The manager didn't get on a register or redirect any other employee to get on a register to resolve the situation. Another employee had clocked in and the manager directed that employee to start straightening up locked out carts, near the line that had been growing. Customers had asked the manager if the new employee could ring at a register, because at this point it was over two hours and there wasn't any body manning the registers. The manager yelled at the customers and then left the front of the store entirely. People were leaving the store, outraged by the behavior and lack of leadership. Meanwhile, there were some women waiting at a register this entire time, their order had been 'lost in the system'. The manager didn't seem interested in helping them or the employee that was trying to find that order either. There was broken glass all over the store floor, in the check out line and in different aisles. The floors are covered in merchandise and opened food products. Nothing is organized. Things are quite literally piled on anything and everything. The fitting rooms were locked. When asking a employee if they could assist with the fitting rooms; he said he's new, he couldn't, and he said he couldn't walkie anyone either. It was a terrible display of professionalism and work ethic.
I see way to many reviews about this location saying the same thing; complaining about the state of the store and the poor attitude of the staff. Nothing is being done about these issues, it's apparent. It's been going on for too long without resolve. Online words from the -burington team- replying to reviews don't help this store in it's professionalism or organization. Words instead of action. Wouldn't recommend, won't be returning to...
Read moreWe come here almost every week because of my 2 years old son. However I think i won't come back here anymore because of the staff behavior. Last week, we had to wait 1h to check out because only 1 cashier opened. During that my son forgot his own toy in the store and my husband tried to go back inside to find and the staff didn't let him in because they said they are closed (I am still in line to purchase our stuff). Ok fine Today, we went there again. My 2yrs old boy found an open box of toys which has letters and numbers. He tried to get them back to play and i thought we may take that because he likes it, just $5. Since he took it out already then i check if the box has enough letters and numbers as it should be. It was late (abt 11pm already) then i sat next to my boy. I recognized they were not enough, stacked them by color and intent to put it back. However my boy is still interested in them , so it is a little hard for me. At this moment a staff walked here and asked if i wanted to purchase that because she saw i played with that. I said no because it was not enough and i just found out that. She said if not then i should not open that and play. I tried to explain to her that i am not the one who cut the box and opened it at first. I'm gonna buy it if it was enough and i am working on it on the box now. She didn't listen to me and took it away right in front of my eyes (she grabbed some letters from my boy hands and it made he cry so badly). I asked her name and she didn't answer me and walked away. I have never been treated like that. I don't see anything that should be like that. Why don't she walk away and come back to check again before she took the toy like that . He is just 2 yrs old and does she need to act like that to the customer. Why doesn't she try to show me the box with full items in case i want to take it or just double check for the truth. It's just a few boxes. I look for the manager and talk about her case and she is still trying to talk back to me and i believe it is not the way she was trained. At least I need to hear she say sorry for what she had done, not from her boss. And in the end it is not fair after all. Burlington is a big business, and this way is the right thing for a better business. I have been to a lot of places and never seen anything like this. Very welcoming staff and very courteous and there times when it’s very clean and organized but I’m there almost 2 or 3 times per month and I find the greatest clearance on name brand summer dresses long short beauty prouducts galore best deal on nane brand deodorant’s. Sometimes the store is in disarray n I believe that may be caused by lack of employees and so it does get pretty messy best time too go is when they open or you will stand in a line I remember coming in on a Sunday at 4:00 and the line had 30 or more people in it! But as I said not enough employees that speak English, I am definitely not racist I myself am of mixed race but if you are here working with customers and they ask where something is they can’t tell you they just stand there look at you and smile going YES YEAS 🤷♀️ O DONT KNOW OMG WHY IT SHOULD BE REGULATED THAT THEY UNDERSTAND SOME SIMPLE ENGLISH QUESTIONS RE- the STORE THEY WORK FOR SO GIVE THEM SUM FREE LESSONS ON THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE PLEASE I THINK INDONESIAN PEOPLE ARE WONDERFUL BUT YOU AT BURLINGTON ALSO NEED TOO TEACH THEM ABOUT HYGIENE BECAUSE THEY WORK WITH THE PUBLIC AND PEOPLE HAVE NOSES AND SUM OF US OUT HERE CAN SMELL THEIR BODY ODER THRU THE STORE SO PLEASE BURLINGTON I LOVE.
