I had the most amazing experience wedding dress shopping at Evaline's! Gabby was my consultant and from the very beginning she was so kind and helpful and made me so excited about my appointment. She asked me for pictures of any dresses/styles I had in mind, and had a few pulled at my appointment that were similar to the Pinterest board I sent her. At my appointment, Gabby and the staff were so accommodating and welcoming to my larger group I brought with me to dress shop. She let me look through the gowns and pull what I wanted to try and gave insight to different styles I pulled. My dress ended up being the third one I tried on, but I never felt rushed to make a decision or settle, Gabby was so patient and made sure I tried on different styles and had no regrets when I said yes to the dress! They had beautiful veil options and lengths for me to try to get the full effect, as well as a beautiful faux bouquet and good options for bridesmaid dresses to see the entire vision come together with my dress. I truly cannot recommend Evaline's Bridal and Gabby enough; everyone from the staff that walked by during my appointment took the time to say how beautiful I looked and how much they loved my dress, answered my questions about alterations and all of the options I had, and were just so kind. Once I said yes to the dress, Gabby brought out champagne for our group and let us take our time celebrating and taking plenty of photos. In every photo I took, you can see Gabby in the background smiling- she had the best attitude and demeanor and truly made the whole experience so special and wonderful. The consultants here don't work on commission, and it shows in the way they don't rush or pressure you to make a decision or get out the door, and give the best customer experience focusing on your needs rather than just making a sale. I shopped about 9 months out from our wedding and they assured me that my dress will come in time and have plenty of time for alterations, she even gave me a ship date for my dress! When my dress does come in, they allow you to have a "dress reveal parry" and bring my whole group back + the bridesmaids that couldn't be there, drinks and snacks, and just celebrate my dress coming in which is such a fun experience they offer! The store itself is beautiful with great natural lighting, cute signs for everyone in the group to vote on the dresses, and the cutest photo backdrops! They also have a great ready to wear section with lots of cute bridal outfits and accessories. My whole experience overall was so wonderful,...
Read moreAWFUL!!! My sister ordered her wedding dress here in the fall. She tried on a headpiece and said she'd think about it, but didn't order it. Her wedding is in three days, and when she got out her receipt (as she is picking up her dress this evening), she noticed she was charged $200 for a headpiece she never received and didn't want. She has been in the store multiple times in the last month, and again, no mention of this headpiece. My sister called assuming it was an honest mistake and would be rectified. She got no where with the owner, Lori. That was when I called, and also, Lori said she couldn't do anything, and would not take it off the bill. Claiming, "what kind of business would I be if I didn't have this headpiece she ordered three days before her wedding". My response is what kind of business orders something by mistake for a customer, and then refuses to fix their mistake.
She kept saying, my sister wouldn't have signed for something she didn't want... as if she was lying about it! When you sign for your purchases, you only sign once though, not for each piece separately. The owner said there was nothing they could do, but "it was a beautiful headpiece and if anyone wanted it they would give my sisters number to them." If its so great, why not take it off our bill and sell it in your disgusting store! I wish my sister would have read these reviews before purchasing this dress. No matter what I said, she wouldn't budge, and we are left paying for a $200 headpiece we have no use for and have never seen! Her sales associate's mistake doesn't matter to her, as she is up $200.
Also, they suck at alterations!!!! I got a bridesmaid dress here a few years ago, and had to go back 4 times before they got it right. My sister's gone back twice for her wedding gown, and when she went this evening (3 days before the wedding), the hem wasn't even straight. Honestly,, $170 for alterations, and you can't even make a straight hem! I could do better on a barbie sewing machine!
I will be posting our negative experience on every single social media site available. I do not want anyone to have something similar...
Read moreI picked up my wedding dress from Evaline's Bridal on 8/13/21. When I ordered my dress I was told I should get a hollow to hem, meaning my dress would be made to the correct length when I have my wedding shoes on. I will start by saying my dress is beautiful and I am so grateful that I was able to find it and purchase it. When I tried my dress on at the store I noticed that my hollow to hem was not completed. None of the employees seemed bothered. One just stated "well we can just do it here". I live almost two hours away and work a lot so my schedule is tight as is. My wedding is also less than 3 months away. My other alterations are being completed elsewhere and I was asked what I was having completed, which is not something I could know the full details of since this was the first time receiving my dress ordered to my size. I did know I would need a bustle. They offered for me to get the bustle completed, and then they would hem it, but my seamstress told me that would not be a good idea. They also tried to measure me for my hem without my wedding shoes, they stated, well "they're flat, so it should be okay". I don't think that is accurate or professional. My wedding shoes are not just flats, which I told them.
I was going to have their shop complete my hem, but I felt if they could not order my dress correctly it made me nervous to have them hem it because of the detail that is on my dress. They ultimately ended up refunding me for the hollow to hem after I asked and I will have my alterations completed elsewhere. I understand it is difficult time to find for businesses, but the lack of empathy was .... interesting to say the least. I did talk with a couple of their employees toward the end of my visit who were newer and very nice. However, the others I dealt with were very flat and seemed annoyed that I had a problem with a service not being provided after I had already paid for it to be completed.
Again my dress is beautiful, but their shop is pricey for lackluster...
