When I made my appointment I made an error and had a doctor's appointment that day. Called back to reschedule asked if I could come Monday instead. She said she had to check and would call me back. She did not. I get it, and understand that she runs a business and have a whole life(family) outside the shop. So I called back to confirm. She said yes, 10. I caught an uber to the shop. And our agreed price was 200. I wanted natural color with highlights/streaks but I didn't know what it was called. I said mixed colors 2. She got the hair and begin to blend both colors.,she asked me if that was correct or what I wanted. I said no. She helped me and suggested streaks, I said yes. Then she says it's going to be 250 and that she has to use xtra hair. I asked when booking how many packs did I need and she said 2 hair included. š¤ She said that she needed 3 packs of hair for my head. How can you quote me a price over the phone, then decide to tack an extra 50 bucks to my tab. I asked her, does a pack of hair cost 50 dollars? No response. It was not my fault that you assumed that I needed 2 packs. How many heads have you braided? So you know all head dimensions are different, different textures, and vary. So you TAXED ME AND SCAMMED ME for an xtra 50 bucks. Because if that was the case then me as a professional would have stated that 200 was a BASE price and that it may vary by by texture and length from client to client. Then she was xtra rough on my edges. I expect that it be a bit tight. But it seemed she was being DRAMATIC and xtra while twisting and wrapping the hair. She also told me that braiding my hair was hurting her hands. Umm...excuse me. That is an occupational HAZARD, and should not be discussed with clients. I felt more like a BURDEN. Instead of paying for a service. She was also annoyed that I called upon my arrival, because the shop wasn't opened yet. Ok hours of operation start at 10am. I called at 9:54. I did not see the harm. No lights on or activity in the building. I asked how long it would be? An ETA estimated time of arrival. She was cold and annoyed. I got no answer again. At least not what I was expecting a pleasant response reassurance. Whatever she said it was rude. They opened at exactly 10am. And you can cut the tension with a knife. Also she was upset that I didn't want any hair that fell on the floor. Another reason she probably was rude. She could have thrown it in the bag with the rest of her left over hair. Why should I have been forced(she snuck and put it in my head anyway) People walking around spitting and throwing down covid masks. Dogs doing their business I was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen I walked in I was greeted upon 4 ladies which seemed like they knew what they were doing as it was 7am and 5 other customers were already in there. I sat in the chair and the stylist that could barely speak English asks me what style and length I explain smedium boho knotless mid back length. I verify the price as $240 multiple times before getting this service which I found ridiculous to even start but my regular braider was not in town. As the stylist starts my hair she starts in the back which I cannot see what she is doing, I think to myself itās taking a while for one braid, the stylist then starts to get up to the front and I see these braids are waist length so I start explaining that this was not the style that I requested or wanted and they are extremely long she looks at me and waives her hand at me to basically āitās okā so as she cannot speak English I let her continue to do it because Iām thinking to myself is she going to cut these? She gets to the last braid and she walks over to get the hot water and starts dipping them so at that point and time I knew we were on the finishing touches. As she couldnāt speak English the whole time or understand what style I was referring too as I even showed a picture, she sure knew how to ask what payment method I was using so I proceeded to tell her ācardā she responded fast ācash onlyā so I politely inform her that I am not carrying cash at that time because I was not aware that was the only payment method that could be used, she then proceeds to tell me Zelle. I ask for the Zelle information and the owner walks over and gives it so I send $240 as that was the price that I was told multiple times and the owner and the stylist looks and proceeds to tell me ā no you have to send another $60 itās $300 for buttlengthā so I start to inform the owner that this was not the length I requested as she was not there when the stylist started and she tells me āokā. So another customer that was previously there starts trying to tell the owner what she heard me say and the owner keeps saying āokā not even trying to resolve the problem. I end up sending the other $60 because I had no option but to send it and the owner said āok byeā upon me leaving her business no thank you no nothing literally āok byeā. For a $300 style I thought it would last months as it should and 4 days later I already had 2 braids falling out. I called the owner to inform her and she said āIām sorry about thatā. As 2 weeks approach I have 5 braids out of my head now. Overall DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS PLACE THEY ARE...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve gone to this shop a few times in the past for prom and for boho braids and twists. My hair was in a ponytail and still a little tangled so the stylist asked me to comb it out some more which was fine. Afterwards another stylist came and felt my hair and asked why I didnāt come with my hair pressed. I have never had to press my hair when getting braids I usually blow dry it pretty well and itās fine. I informed her that it was blow dried and in a ponytail the previous day. I am not a super tender headed person, but out of all my braiding experiences even out of the other few times Iāve came here this time was the most painful. My hair was yanked time and time again and it felt as if they were ripping through it, even when it came to parting my hair would snag and instead of gently pulling it apart my hair was ripped. I would hold onto the hair around the edges during braiding because as they would braid it felt as if my hair was going to be pulled out. When it came to cleaning the additional hair with the scissors I would hold onto the base because it was painful and it felt as if my hair would get pulled out. While doing this I was told I needed to remove my hands since she has scissors and might cute me. When I initially made the appointment I was told that there was two prices $200 and $220, when booking I asked for the length to be to my chest and was informed that it would be $200. After the service was done I gave the stylists the $200 and she told me that my price was $220 since I got the ālonger length ā and that $200 would have only been braided to my shoulders. I find this odd since if it was to my shoulders it would be a bob and when I got boho braids the last time the ālonger lengthā was down past your hips. Very disappointed and will not...
