We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights because we were in town for the NAPHL showcase that our hockey team was playing in. It snowed heavily while we were there yet no attempt was made to clear the pathway into the hotel. There was nothing down to prevent slipping. Nothing was done until another hotel guest slipped and fell and had to be taken to the ER by ambulance. We had 16 year old boys with heavy hockey bags and their parents who were slipping entering and leaving the hotel for 2 whole days. No one attempted to clean the lobby floor each day and with the wet snow and such it looked awful.
The food selections were poor. The waitress' the first morning were awful! One hardly spoke and seemed to not be able to do two things at once. She saw about 10 of us come in and sit at tables and instead of bringing 10 menus she brought 3 out then went back and got a few more then went back and got more. The other waitress was rude, disrespectful and acted like taking our orders was beneath her. We were ordering two of the sampler breakfast, identical orders, and she snapped at us saying "One order at a time".
She never attempted to smile or act pleasant and actually when she delivered our food she dropped the plate in front of us! No attempt to refill our coffee or water. While eating she literally put the bill in my face! She didn't even say a word!
The other 3 mornings the ladies that were waiting on us were very pleasant and cheerful and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. We never did see the waitress from the first morning the rest of our stay. We were not impressed though with the lack of staff and we felt they were not equipped to handle large groups of people. They seemed flustered and it showed when people got wrong orders, some didn't even get to order food, others never got silverware, etc. There were a couple hockey teams staying at this hotel and yet they seemed like they could not handle it. I HIGHLY recommend setting up some sort of buffet if you choose to host sports teams or larger groups at your hotel. Having a sit down where you order food is not always a good thing when these kids and parents have to be rinks more then 20 minutes from the hotel. There were times when we ordered food it took nearly 20-30 min for people to get their food. While the staff at the desk were friendly and cheerful they too seemed like they were lost and did not know how to handle large groups as well. We stay at a lot of hotels throughout the hockey season and this one was by far the worst experience we...
Read moreEDIT: As you can see, the "owner" replied to my review. I did call the location to inquire....
I was "supposed" to be offered two coupons for complimentry breakfast, that was "supposed" to run until 10:00am, neither of those things happend. I was given one voucher for two adults. Not two vouchers. And I mispoke, it was not buy one get one free, it s that kids eat free with an adult purchase. Reguardless, I couldn't use any voucher becaue when I entered the resturant PRIOR to 10:00am ( and I know this becuase I have a text message to someone at 10:20am stating I had just received my food at the coney island located two block down and a paid receipt for 10:48am) I was turned away. In addition, when I asked, "waht time does it say I checked out? Then you'll see I attemtped to get breakfast prior to 10:00am" she stated 11:51 ... which again is impossilbe because I have a paid receipt FROM the coney island time stamped for 10:48am ... not really sure how I was in two place at once, but apparently I am able to do that... In this conversation I was also told there is basically no way someone could have taken the shoes, but as you can see, there is a lot of missinformaion coming from staff, establisment and managment. So I do not hold any truth to this at this moment. Waiting for a call back after she checks all the "non common" places the shoes "may" be.
Well, first a foremost, there is a $100 deposit, make sure you are aware of that!
Secondly, there is no breakfast at this location. They offer you ONE coupon for buy one get one free, everything in the room says breakfast until 10am IN the resuratnt it is posted as 9:30.... Get it together Holiday Inn.. if your check out is not unitl noon, why does your breakfast END at 9:00am?!
Lastly, we were there to celbrate my daughters 8th birthday.. of course kids being kids, she left behind her brand new boots. She brought it to my attention at about 6pm. So, 6 hours after we checked out I called to inquire.... no on could help me.. called again the next morning, "superviser just left 28 minutes ago".
Basically, this establishemnt has no compassion, no customer service, and is legitimatly only out to collect your money..... I do not...
Read moreI called this holiday inn to ensure we could do a super late check in and there was availability. The lady at desk informed me they had plenty of abailabilty and checking in super late would be zero issue. We showed up just before 4. When going to check in, she asked me and my boyfriend to have a seat as she was was in the middle of checking another guest in who had walked away and didn’t want to mess anything up. After sitting in the lobby for over 10 minutes and us being exhausted, I yelled into the back room if anyone could plz check us in. This was due to nobody being at the front desk since asking us to wait. The front desk lady came back from the back room and proceeded to get us started. She was taking a while and continued to tell us how she kept losing are room and having to restart r check in. She also vented about how nervous she was due to all the stress in her life. My boyfriend and I tried to be extremely patient. After 18 minutes of her working at checking us in, I told her if she couldn’t get us checked in right then, I’d like my cards back and to find somewhere else. She tossed them back at me and we left. There is no reason it should take more than 5 minutes to check someone in, let alone almost a half hour. I am assuming that the person before us gave up on her and left as well as they never returned for their check-in while there. I do think it’s super important to find someone on third shift who knows how to check someone in correctly. We drove down the road to a different hotel and were checked in within 3 minutes of arrival with room keys. I can positively say, if we stayed we would have still been standing...
