I went into home depot to get blinds for a rental property. I was quoted a price during their 50% off sale for bali shades. I had planned on going thru amazon but HD's sale made the price only slightly higher and the installation was very affordable. I told the home depot sales associate I wanted the blinds, but I absolutely had to have them installed no later than the end of may because its a rental property. They said they should be done way before then, no problem, so we moved forward and she took my money for the measuring fee. It took their installer almost a month to come out and measure, then the associate was gone for a week. By the time she got back to me, she tried to say that the blinds werent on sale anymore. It was never made clear to me that I wouldn't pay the quoted price at the time I agreed to move forward. To tell the customer one price then demand another after taking payment for measurement is horrible customer service! Its not my fault they took forever! Further more, I checked back in with their installer and they couldnt say when the blinds would be installed, but it very likely could be delayed until June. I asked home depot if they would honor the original price and I would install them myself. Initially they said yes, then the associate came back and said that they would only honor the price if I used their installer! At this point I did what I should have done in the first place, order the dang blinds myself thru amazon. They'll be here in two weeks and I saved myself over $500, weeks of delays, plus more importantly the hassle of dealing with home depot....
Read moreI recently ordered a refrigerator from the Warrenton location and when the delivery drivers came a week later they didn't deliver it because of there are rules on parking and obstructing roadways I have adequate parking next to my house and cross the street from my house that is not impeding traffic whatsoever did the delivery drivers left because they felt that it was a hazard and or it was impeding traffic I called the delivery company the receptionist was very rude and insistent on scheduling me a week out she would not listen to me as far as me suggesting that they be more specific on the contract as far as their parking guidlines she said we expect homeowners to be aware of their surroundings in their parking situation anyway I called your store and talked to Libby she was very very accommodating she scheduled us for the next day which she was puzzled as well why the delivery company scheduled us for a week out to deliver the fridge as if the receptionist was just being condescending and vindictive and decided we needed our fridge a week later rather than the next day for their not being specific on their delivery criteria libby is an example of stellar customer service and I recommend that she gets a raise for this or at least is recognized for her monumental customer service libby is the queen of the day for home Depot and all home depots...
