I cannot say enough wonderful things about Lucia! If you are in search of a dress, wether it be yours, mom’s or bridesmaids, this is the place to go! I only met Lucia a little over a week before my wedding and she pulled of a MIRACLE for me. I had been having some anxiety over my original dress since the moment I bought it and as the wedding got closer and the alterations proceeded, it just got worse & worse. My mom had gotten her dress from Lucia and suggested we go take a look just to see. This was on the afternoon of 9/12 and my wedding was on 9/22. I walked into the shop, already upset and crying, and Lucia treated me like an old friend. She put me in 5 different dresses, while telling me “this is not a joke, this is your wedding dress, it is important and we will fix it for you.” I had so much anxiety walking into this store, feeling like a fool for waiting so long to speak up, panicking that I would feel terrible in my dress on my wedding day, but most of all, feeling guilty for making my mom buy me another dress. Lucia, eased all of those anxieties and reassured me that my feelings were valid and important. The last dress I tried on, made me cry even more. I loved it but didn’t want to say it out loud, what if we couldn’t get it? Before I even said yes, Lucia was on the phone searching for the dress. She was able to have my size overnighted from New Jersey and by the following Friday the dress had not only been delivered but completely altered & pressed! We went to the shop a handful of times between Tuesday - Thursday for alterations that Lucia worked tirelessly on. I couldn’t even believe that she pinned it up once and the hem was perfect the next day. Lucia did an OUTSTANDING job and as I said, she pulled off a MIRACLE for us. I had come across this dress shop in the past and never forgot about it. When walking in we quickly learned Lucia had just recently purchased the shop from the woman who owned it for many years. Lucia had sold her dresses in the past when she worked in NYC.

What can we say about this amazing woman that we have not already told her! Lucia is one of a kind and will make any bride feel amazing. When Stephanie and I decided to start dress shopping for our wedding we knew we wanted to work with someone that did not mind us being two women. We were her first lesbian couple she had ever worked with. Her are her assistant Karen made us feel comfortable and asked us what we were looking for in our dresses. We knew we wanted dresses that complimented each other but were differ in many ways. We tried on a few that night, but went back to the first ones Lucia chose for us. Stephanie and I decided to do our fittings together. It will be a moment from wedding planning to wedding day we will never forget.

Each time we went for our fittings Lucia was always excited to see us. She helped us into our dresses and said look how beautiful you are. We watched her work her magic with not only us but other brides as well during peek wedding season. She made you feel comfortable and you knew she was confidant in her work.

On the day we picked up our dresses, Lucia looked at us both and told us in the 30 years she has been doing this she has never met a couple as in love as we are with each other. She told us our love is only going to grow stronger and we are meant for each other. We couldn’t wait to send her pictures of us in our gowns.

The owner and all staff at this bridal shop are genuinely wonderful, caring and honest people. I am a proud Ivory Bride and had nothing but an incredible experience from start to finish. From the first time I walked into the shop to the last, I was greeted with genuine excitement and treated like I was not just another customer, but a friend. They had a wonderful selection and knew exactly what kind of dresses to pull in order to get me in what ended up being the most perfect and beautiful dress I could have dreamed of!!
