When I initially came in to drop off jewelry, the staff was kind and gave price estimates for the jewelry but said they would call prior to fixing things to let me know the set price. I was told there was an estimate of $140 to fix a watch. Then was called and told they were surprised but it would only be $80 and I said go for it, fix it. Then when I was called to say it’s ready I’m told it’s $180. Then the owner calls and says it’s $165. I was given different prices from every person I spoke to. I was also told when it was fixed there is an additional $30 fee for the diagnosis of what’s wrong with it. This was not told to me prior. And I gave the go ahead to fix the watch based on the price I was told at the beginning. Other jewelry I dropped off with my grandmother at the same time was given back unfinished, not cleaned and the prices were not told to her prior like she was told they’d be. I feel like my grandmother was taken advantage of. While the owner admitted the person I initially spoke to must have read the price wrong or there was a misunderstanding between staff, I was still told I had to pay the current price they were asking for rather than the price I was told in order to get my grandmothers jewelry back she got from her late husband. I am incredible disappointed with the service we received. A ring came back fine, the watch was fixed but over charged. Everything else was unfinished or not cleaned before returned. I will not be going here again. I would recommend to anyone who does to get the price in writing before you agree to it. That way the price cannot be changed on you. Keep your receipt, don’t just handle things over the phone and assume the information will be the same when you go to pick...
Read moreI first encountered this jeweler after I purchased an estate piece that I wanted to have checked out after an extremely negative experience with another local jeweler in Wickford. The couple who runs s the store was very friendly and did not have the air of arrogance that many jewelery stores are known for. The ring was in need of a few repairs and the price was very fair. When I picked up the ring it looked virtually new. However, I am a bit OCD and I noticed that one of the areas on the ring still stood out to me. After some hesitation because of negative experiences with other Jewelers, I took it back. The jeweler was very gracious and willing to have another go at the ring to ensure I was satisfied. I am overwhelmingly appreciative of his time and caring. I highly recommend this jeweler. They also have a lit of very nice pieces in stock and do...
Read moreI have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with eloquence jewelers. I passed through their store while on vacation from California visiting family. In a brief encounter I sensed their great customer service, attention to detail and quality in the jewelry they sell and make. Dan customized a set of three anniversary bands for me that I had been looking for for several years. Although it is unlike me to place my faith in someone from long-distance without a prior customer relationship, his quality and service were exceptional and he finished my piece earlier than expected. He has since done a complicated repair on my wedding band also from long distance. All of my future jewelry needs will be in the hands of this family business. I highly...
