Our journey with La-z-Boy was very much a sandwich journey, with a long line of unhappy filling, but the wonderful flanking service we received is why I am writing this positive review.
We solicited services through the Designer on 08/31/19 for a whole living room redesign for our new house. She did a wonderful job while at our house, and was attentive to the designs we loved. She created beautiful mock-ups of our future living room space and helped tremendously with decisions. We were aware our fabric choice would delay the order 4-6 weeks, but we had no idea what delay we were in for....
After placing the order, there was little communication between the Designer, the store and us. A few of our pieces were waiting in the warehouse, and we were not informed until i called in and asked about the status of our furniture. That was almost 3 months after the initial order, well beyond the expected 4-6 week delivery. After 4.5 months of patience, we grew extremely frustrated with canned responses and half apologies we received from the designer, I escalated the issue with Comfort Care. They then put me in touch with the Warwick manager, Jake Coleman, after which, our experience completely changed. Jake was attentive, sincere and determined to make this right with us. He kept in great touch with frequent communication. He saught out explanation after explanation and fought for us to get what we not only paid for, but deserved. He provided us with loaner furniture to get us through the holidays and expeditiously ensured delivery was at our convenience and things were as they should be. Our completed living room furniture was delivered on 01/18/20.
While we have had some bumps with one of the pieces of the actual product (we overall LOVE our new living room), Lazboy's Comfort Care has been outstanding in their responsiveness. We owe a huuuuuuuge thank you to Jake for the amazing, over-and-above customer service he provided. Because of him, in spite of the "unhappy filling" we experienced in this sandwich journey, when it's time to look for furniture for our dining room and office, we will definitely be reaching out to Jake at La-Z-Boy Warwick to assist with our needs. Thank you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI havenāt received the Maddox 2 seat reclining sofa yet, as it takes a couple months to custom build it, so Iāll just review the purchase experience for the present. I worked with several excellent sales reps at the Lazy Boy store in Warwick. Each visit gave me better familiarity with their products. On my third trip Derek closed the sale with me. He understood my need to work within my budget and was thorough in explaining custom build procedures & policies. Iām waiting for delivery now and Iām excited to see how it all works out. My main suggestion for this manufacturer of American made furniture is this: please update your fabric choices! That element of my shopping experience was the most challengingāfinding fabric that looks fresh and new, yet works with my existing decor, but without an exorbitant price tag. Although many good fabric deals are advertised, once in the store they can be hard to find. Samples were not all readily available, some were missing or discontinued. Frustrated, I gave up on the paltry choice in the red family of colors and had to go in a different direction. Luckily I found a great alternative in a more neutral fabric. I like that you can upgrade to Tempurpedic cushions. Thatās a Deal Maker, indeed! And they even have a few genuine leather choices that are very affordable, as well as high quality āvegan leatherā fabrics that look fantastic! My tip for shoppers is: get familiar with the website before you visit the store and youāll be way ahead. Donāt be afraid to show the staff what you found on their official site. Itās easier than just leafing through the sample rack and makes it easier for staff to help you with your search for that perfect fabric choice for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I purchased a sectional moments ago at lazy boy in Warwick, Rhode Island. We are new to the area and were very impressed with the selection available. When we came inside, a gentleman by the name of Derek welcomed us and made us aware that the store was busy and each employee was already assisting other customers. We told him it was okay and that we were just looking anyway.
Shortly after, my husband and I found something we really liked and had some questions about it. My husband went to Derek and asked him if he had time to answer some questions for us. Derek was so helpful that he convinced us that we made the right decision and we decided to purchase the sectional with the armless seat which could be moved to another part of the sectional.
I wanted to leave a 1 star review due to the fact that another employee in the store approached Derek while he was helping us pay for our purchase and he made everyone including Derek feel very uncomfortable the way he was standing there shaking and trembling. He was getting angry at Derek for no reason and threatened to make him go home because he helped us. Derek was so helpful that we had to leave 5 stars but I had to point out the fact that what we believed to be his manager, was NOT a very pleasant person at all. The man wearing glasses seemed very bothered by Derek helping us even though Derek made the time to answer our question when the store was busy. Someone needs to tell that other guy to relax and not act like that in front of customers. We would have walked out if it wasn't for Derek making us feel comfortable again immediately after what occurred.
Great job Derek! š
