Tucked away in our corner of the state, Pinoy Lane is a hidden gemāboth a Filipino grocery store and a cafeteria-style haven for mouthwatering, authentic dishes. š Being the only Filipino grocery store around, itās small but packed with everything youād expect, from imported snacks to hard-to-find ingredients. If youāre craving a taste of the Philippines, this is where you go to stock up on favorites and discover new goodies, all flown straight from the homeland.āļøšµš
Their cafeteria-style setup is a definite win for food lovers! š If youāre in the mood for something warm and comforting, like a classic Filipino meal, just peek at their daily menu on Facebook, and swing by for takeout. This time, I couldnāt resist grabbing their delicious menudoāflavorful, hearty, and just the right amount of saucy goodness. And letās not forget about their dessert game! Pinoy Lane is the halo-halo headquarters on a scorching summer day, and their leche flan? Itās so good, youāll want it all year long. š®
While the shop may be small, its heart (and shelves) are brimming with the essence of the Philippines. Whether youāre after a tasty lunch or hunting for your favorite childhood snacks, Pinoy Lane delivers a true home-away-from-home experience. šš„” Grab a cart, grab a fork, and enjoy a little piece of the Philippines right...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI didnāt grow up in the Philippines, but when I went to visit family, food was always something memorable in every gathering. Itās nice to have a local place where one can find authentic Pinoy cuisine to-go! Their prices are reasonable for the amount of work that goes into the variety of items they offer for lunch/dinner. Theyāre located on the ground floor, in a building where there are parking spaces in front of the store businesses. If I lived closer, Iād be there almost daily!
For dessert, Iāve seen: Halo-Halo, leche flan, ube halaya, cassava cake⦠stock varies but having a selection is always a plus!
They also have a good selection of fresh, packaged and frozen Filipino goods like Mang Tomas, Patis, Spam, Ube ice cream, Tocino and more. Thereās one item I keep missing out on (but I know they stock it on occasion), seems like others get to it first- itās cheese Clover chips. Someday though- Iāll get there before they run out of stock!
Weāre there for the lechon kawali, lumpia, kaldereta, pancit, dinuguan and halo-halo. So long as those stay on the menu, weāll always be regulars so long as theyāre open. Might even get me a good walis ting-ting for authenticity lol
Maraming salamat po! Sobrang sarap ng pagkain sa...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePinoy Lane where you can taste authentic phillipino cuisine without any jet lag. This store is not intended to compete with major chain stores or Asian stores twice the size. Rather, this store stocks phillipino food that is simply not found elsewhere--including ready- to-eat entrees. My favorite purchase is Halo Halo, a shaved ice treat that includes purple yam icecream (ube), various exotic fruits, and beans--certainly a cooler and tastier alternative to Del's Lemonade. The last time I went, I arrived 10 minutes after closing, they opened the door and let me in. While I shopped, I witnessed the staff scouring and disinfecting the entire store as if prepping for a surgery. I was quite impressed by their efforts. I feel confident to proclaim that the quality and service they provide is Superior to their competitors. HIGHLY RECOMMEND....
