While I understand that there was an IT outage today that impacted many companies, hereās what I donāt understand. I show up at the store to pick up an order that was ready and paid for, and I was met with a locked door. When I finally was able to coax someone into opening the door, I calmly pleaded my case. The store is an hour from my home and I had an order number which I could show. No problem, right? Nope. The associate was terse at best, rude at worst. She would not entertain the idea that they could record that the order was picked up and closed the door in my face. I retreated to my vehicle and called Five Below customer service hoping they might be able to speak to the store and release my (already paid for) purchase. They kept saying they couldnāt do anything with computers down. I suggested they could write down the order number and my license number so I didnāt have to come back (a trip from my house is approximately an hour each way). They would not even entertain the idea. I asked what would happen if the computers were up but the scanner down. Surely, they must have a policy or procedure what allows for manual entry. They would not. They told me the best that they could do is instruct the store to hold the item over so that I could come back after the scheduled pickup window of three days.
This lack of effort or consideration for the customer is unacceptable, especially in contrast with the excellent customer service of the North Attleboro store. Visiting there yesterday, they didnāt have the items in the store. They could have sent me on my way. Instead, they looked the items up in the computer and shared that the Warwick store had them in stock. I immediately ordered them. The āorder is readyā confirmation came in shortly after. If someone at the Warwick store had HALF of the consideration for the customer of the folks in North Attleboro, there would be no negative review here. Just a happy customer appreciative of a ācustomer firstā approach to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOne of the most uncomfortable shopping experiences Iāve had. I worked in retail for more than 10 years and I get people can be suspicious and steal . I was just looking at the candy and snacks and then I noticed one of the workers were just watching me while she was folding and all I thought was I being suspicious or something she just kept watching me like a hawk. As I continued shopping in the candy section, she was at the end cap about two or 3 feet away just watching me. I had enough so I went to just check out part of me wanted to just leave everything there, but I was going to the movies so I didnāt wanna pay an arm and a leg for snacks at the theater. I got to the register and I was the only Customer and there was only one other worker there (not James Bond who was folding the clothes earlier) instead of offering to ring me out,he leaves the register to have me check out myself (The person that they thought was stealing) . On the plus side If corporate sees this, they did welcome me to five below when I walked in the door and told me to have a good day when I left. Donāt yāall have cameras that you can just watch somebody in the back if you suspect something and not make them feel uncomfortable but thatās just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent in today to let my nephews spend their allowance money, store was clean with a lot of selection to choose from. Staff is very nice and helpful. The manager, Lynn, went above and beyond and noticed the ball we had was already deflated. I told her that it was okay and we have a pump at the house so we'll inflate it again, she said that sometimes it doesn't hold it and offered to check in the back for a new one similar to what my nephew picked out. She inflated the new ball and he was so happy! She also helped my other nephew to find novelty candy in the front. The boys kept saying she was very nice... and she was! She certainly made time to assist us while the store was getting a bit busy! Thanks again!! 100% will visit this...
