This was a terrible experience. Was fitted suit as a groomsmen 30 days before the wedding. Had it set up to be delivered to a location in Rochester hills Michigan thinking it might take two weeks to get ready and shipped which would give me sufficient time to try it on and make any necessary adjustments with out having to worry about a time crunch. 21 days after getting fitted Iâve received no communication on the status of my suit. Called the store location it supposed to be delivered to everyday the week of the wedding and was just told each time â itâs still not in yet.â
I was told your company guarantees delivery two days before the event so I went to the store and was again informed it hasnât arrived. I had chosen this store because I live 4 hours away from the event. Coming to the store the day before the wedding and being told it isnât ready when I had to be on the road heading to another state for the rehearsal was extremely disappointing and infuriating. The suit was finally delivered the day of the wedding. The first time was able to try anything on was merely a few hours before the event. To add insult to injury the store representative who released the items to me thought it would be funny to tell me â you're running behind huhâ after stressing to them the wedding was on this day.
The final straw was being told that I still had to pay almost additional $40.00 to take the suit after I had paid in full 31 days prior. At the end of the day I paid nearly $250 for anxiety, contemplating not being able to stand up in my brothers wedding, and to be laughed at an accused of my mismanaging my time by your company personnel after doing my due diligence and being fitted over a month before the wedding. Myself and the other groomsmen will never be doing business with this company again, thatâs how bad our...
Read moreNever have I purchased a suit from a clothier straight off the rack and had it fit. I thought for a moment I had on August 10 when I acquired the suit for my daughterâs upcoming wedding. Thanks to the snag in the jacket, I found out differently. I took the suit back the next day and asked for an exchange. The gentleman who was working that day actually fit me for a size 48R instead of the 50L they let me walk out with the day before or the 50R I would have been happy with. My new jacket needed to be let out and we scheduled the alterations. It seemed the day was saved. I would get my suit back altered and pressed and I would like Jos A. bank having not heard good things about them.
Flash forward six weeks. I go in to pick up my suit two days earlier than expected on a Friday evening. I tried it on and the fit was okay, but I donât think it was as good as it could have been. No matter. I need to lose a few more pounds anyway. As I looked things over, it did not at all appear that the suit had even been pressed. There were wrinkles in the pants like they had been recently worn for a day and wrinkles in the jacket like it had sat carelessly folded for several days. The person, who originally let me walk out with a misfit suit assured me that they would re press and I could pick it up the following Monday. This evening upon picking up the suit, it was apparent that had either not been pressed, or, based on the persons explanation that âthey donât have the same equipment as a dry cleaners,â very poorly and carelessly pressed. To have the suit pressed again, which was offered, would be a huge inconvenience for me to come back a third day for something that should have been done correctly the first time.
You might get a nice suit at a good price, but youâll not likely get the service...
Read moreWent into the Jos. A. Banks in Dublin this afternoon. Well, Jos. A. Banks has sure changed! Nobody got up to help meâŠthey were all busy doing something else; not customers. When someone finally shouted to see if I needed help, a guy walked over, obviously preoccupied with what he was doing. I was looking for a pair of pleated & cuffed 100% cotton casual pants like the other 6 pair I have from them. I need a new pair of Navy pants. âWe have very little selection of cotton casual pantsâ he said. He told me where to look and went back to his busy work. When I couldnât find anything like I wanted, he looked up to help. He walked over to some pants and showed me some polyester dress pants. I said âthatâs not what Iâm looking forâ and he said âthatâs all we have.â I said thanks and walked out. He didnât seem to care. This happened a few months ago when my wife was looking for a gift. They used to be the most helpful menâs store I have ever shopped at. It wonât be long before they are out...
