Local Cantina Dublin — Restaurant in Washington Township

Great tacos, TERRIBLE SERVICE! Their taco menu is awesome and I really like all of the tacos on their menu. The vibe and the bar are so great as well. But the service is an absolute nightmare! Don’t even think about going there if service is important you. I have been in this place more than 20 times because I’m so into their tacos, however have had an unsatisfactory experience with their service at least during half of my visits. I will just share the worst ones here:

1- I ordered a couple of tacos and my guest ordered a burrito bowl with steak and avocado. They brought our food after 20 minutes but the burrito bowl was with beed instead of steak. We told them and the waitress took it to the kitchen. Again 20 minutes wait (my tacos were totally cold) and this time burrito bowl with steak but no avocado! 10 more minutes waiting until they brought the avocados! Their response? “Sorry we are too busy tonight!”

2- Ordered a side of guacamole beside our food to have it with the cheeps. They brought our food but forgot the guacamole. We mentioned that to the waitress and she went to the kitchen and never came back again!!! 10 minutes later we told another server and she brought the guacamole to our table. Their response? “Sorry we are too busy tonight”

3- THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! We were kind of in rush so decided to sit outside since there was a huge line for inside seating. We ordered our food right away when we met the server. 25 minutes later, still no food. I kindly asked the waiter to follow up with the order and he mentioned “we are too busy tonight, it takes longer”. 10 more minutes later he came back, and mentioned that sometime there is a problem with this specific table that the computer doesn’t send the order to the kitchen!!! Can you believe that? “Sometimes” it happens and you do nothing? If you know that why didn’t you figure it out when I asked you to follow up? I was so angry and told him I cannot wait here anymore. He just rudely said ok without any further apologizing. I asked another server to call the manager, the server explained the situation to the manager and the manager prepared our order in a couple of minutes without taking any money for it (their only nice gesture).

I had these experience with three of their servers so I guess they really need to work on training their servers. Everyone is so tired and blaming the crowd but this place is always busy! You need to be prepared and work on...

We had a disagreement with a staff member because one of my friends forgot their mask. After she told us we couldn’t be admitted unless all 3 of us had masks, he stepped outside to cover his face with his shirt, and even though the law permits “face coverings” as acceptable, she still wouldn’t let him in. I had a mask and my other friend did, so we sat down at the table and one of us took off their mask while sitting down in the covid free acceptable area, ran it back outside to my maskless friend, and they both, with masks, proceeded to sit down and take off their masks. By no means am I or my friends “anti maskers” and I wouldn’t be writing this review if what followed hadn’t happened as I KNOW FOR A FACT that in the beginning, we were entirely in the wrong. However, the staff was EXTREMELY petty towards us afterwards and it honestly felt extremely personal. Our hostess / waitress made us wait for 15 minutes before she even took our drink order while she seated other guests, ignored us completely, and was outright disrespectful. When we eventually ordered she quickly ran away and refused to converse with us or offer any of us refills, as normally expected from an establishment like this. On top of that, when the food came out, it was stale, barely cooked, and plainly disgusting. To add insult to injury, the bartender literally WASN'T EVEN WEARING A MASK. After all of the fuss and the pettiness towards us, her own co worker, THE BARTENDER, wasn’t even wearing a mask, even while conversing with another maskless guest. I understand that in the beginning my party was completely in the wrong but we were treated with such disrespect afterwards it was extremely discouraging to come back, especially after all of us just spent $40+ there just to be treated terribly. I’m sure the owner is going to respond with some sort of jackass response but i don’t care. I’m not looking for free stuff, just to warn other people. Stopped here on our way home and had an awful experience. Walked in and the sign said “seat yourself” so we went to to sit down at a time in the back and were stopped and told that table was being sat, I apologized and told her about the sign and she was like you can sit at the communal table now otherwise you’re going to have to wait for a table, we live over an hour from there so we decided to have a seat at the communal table. We ordered water and queso to get started, the queso showed up at least 5 minutes before our water. We have a two year old and she was slamming the chips, cheese and salsa with nothing to drink. Our waitress finally arrived with our water and then took our order. Our food took a while but it was dinner so to be expected. It was the wrong food so she took it back and said they were going to “rush” our food, we waiting about another 15-20 minutes in the loudest atmosphere we have been in probably ever—we didn’t see our server at all during this time, I ended up stopping the original lady that sat us and brought us the cheese, she seemed to be doing everything for everyone in there and asked her to box our food to go, she did and she didn’t realize we hadn’t paid yet either so she went and found our check, still never seeing our server anywhere I just left the money on the table and we left.
