This place is an absolute blast from start to finish! It’s one of those spots where you can walk in and instantly feel the energy and excitement. Whether you’re hanging out with a group of friends, planning a fun family outing with the kids, or enjoying a laid-back date, there’s something here for everyone to enjoy.
The variety of games is awesome and keeps you entertained for hours. They’ve got retro arcade classics that bring out all the nostalgia, old-school consoles for gamers who love a throwback, plus fun activities like lawn games, ping pong, and even mini bowling. The mini bowling is especially great because it’s fun, simple, and easy for younger kids to play—perfect for little ones who love rolling the ball and feeling part of the action. It’s a crowd-pleaser for all ages!
But the fun doesn’t stop with the games. There’s also a great pizza place inside, so you can grab a fresh, tasty bite whenever you need a break. And for adults, the full bar is a huge plus—perfect for relaxing with a drink while you hang out or celebrate a win. Between the food and drinks, you’ve got everything you need for a full day or night of fun under one roof.
What also makes this spot stand out is how well it’s set up for groups. There’s plenty of seating, from smaller tables to larger areas that work perfectly for big parties or casual get-togethers. It’s a space where you can eat, laugh, and share memories without feeling crowded. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just looking for a fun place to unwind, it has the perfect balance of energy and comfort.
If you’re visiting Dublin or even if you live nearby, this is a must-visit destination. It’s more than just games—it’s an experience where everyone can come together, eat, play, and make memories that last. Fun, food, drinks, and great vibes—what more could you ask for? I had such a great time here that I’m giving it a solid 5-star review, and I’d happily come back...
Read morePins Mechanical Company is essentially an arcade for adults (though children are allowed during the day, and it can be a fun, family outing). Offering pinball, arcade games, bocce ball, and the Duckpin-Bowling they have become locally famous for, they have a full-service bar and seating with big-screen tv's with a variety of programming (mostly sports).
They also have outdoor seating, and a hot-dog restaurant in the middle of their establishment (the original location often features food trucks, instead). They also offer rental space for parties, and with the size of this location, it's a great place for a large party. The arcade games are set to free play (all quarters inserted go to charity). The pinball machines are $1 per game.
However, they have somewhat become victims of their own success. Pins has become popular to the point that it can, at times, inhibit the fun (I made multiple trips to the establishment for this review, and intentionally went when traffic would be light, to get good pictures). On the weekends, the wait for a lane can typically be 2 to 3 hours.
There are numerous restaurants within walking distance, but the lanes still become so crowded, new players frequently walk up and sit down at a lane before the previous players have even had a chance to vacate. The friendly staff and fun atmosphere really draw a crowd, but almost too well. A bit of tweaking to the logistics would likely make Pins worth 5 stars, but as is, I can only give a 4.
The Good: Great games, decent drinks for a decent price, and a fun, friendly atmosphere.
The Bad: It's often too crowded with prolonged wait times.
Definitely worth checking out, but expect downtime. Plan...
Read moreMy husband and I had our after party here a couple years ago and everyone from out of town loved trying it out. It’s always really busy but we love being there. We always see a lot of families and kids there and I think that’s great. We’re parents now and want to make memories with our kids there and in the area but last weekend we took our child there for the first time. However, I went to change him on the changing table in the bathroom. It’s in the handicap stall. We stood there for a long while, no line in front or behind me and finally one of the coworkers came out… I pull the dirty changing table down and it’s at an obtuse angle and he immediately slid sideways. Yes it has a strap but it’s not enough. It was absolutely not safe. Luckily my friend was with me so she held him on there while I awkwardly changed him. There was a mother coming in as we went out and I warned her. She said she already knew, was extremely upset about it and had already contacted someone about it but it had not been taken care of. This is not ok. If I would have changed him out on the couches where we were sitting in, I’d be wrongfully judge. Yet, letting my child be changed on a dirty, dangerous changing table...
