This store is AMAZING. I moved here recently and every one of my apartment asks and needs were fulfilled by the Adams Morgan ACE staff. They also always try to get you things at the lowest price, I went in to pot a basil plant so it looked nice for when I had guests and the ACE plant specialist gave me a whole talk about basil and how once it buds the flavor profile changes so there’s no real point on spending money on a nice pot. So I was like ok bet I’ll get a cheap pot, but I still wanted it potted so guests would be like “nice potted plant” and so we went to the cash register and it would be like $8 for the potting service and he was like... don’t waste your money bud get this 79 cent water dish to prolong the life of your basil, but it will die. And so I left having spent 79 cents but so much more...

I came here at the very last minute and right before they closed this Sunday. Because I needed to pickup some last minute items for a new home that we had purchased. The first thing that I needed was a duplicate key made for the house. Even though it was minutes before they closed, a cool employee was able to help me out and he made they key in under two minutes! Then I needed to get a small container of spackle to fix some of the small holes in the walls that the previous owners had left behind. This hardware store carries just about everything related to the house. They even have an indoor garden section. I'm glad that this store is here as it's one of the few hardware stores inside...

For COVID they are only allowing a limited capacity inside. If the store is full they'll assign someone outside to let people in as people come out. Staff is focusing on helping customers get what they need and get out, so every time I've been in I'm approached almost immediately and led to the next item I'm looking for. I was able to quickly get what I needed every time I've been here since the stay at home. I'm not sure if masks are required but I've always worn one and it seems like everyone else was wearing them too.
