Con: Everything else was terrible

Since moving in, we routinely saw a mouse in our kitchen. When we saw the mouse for the first time, maintenance "covered" a hole in the kitchen through which they believed the mouse was entering our unit. The building exterminator also visited our apartment and set up various traps. Despite these efforts, we continued to see the mouse and created several maintenance requests after some of these sightings.

Throughout our entire time living there, we saw the exterminator at least 10 times and continued to deploy over a dozen traps which we left up for months. The traps caught two mice (we thought there was only one) and afterwards still continued to see a mouse. After multiple mice had been caught, 

Management gaslit us and told us that OUR HOUSE WAS DIRTY and that is why the mice were coming into our home. This statement was not only rude, it was completely false due to us literally having a professional cleaning company deep-clean our home monthly.

And after that terrible comment, we increased the amount of times the cleaning company came to prove a point.

We then caught TWO MORE MICE on the same day. During the 10th or so extermination visit, the exterminator suggested that the mice were not living in our apartment full-time and must be entering through an open hole (THE OPEN HOLE THEY HAD SAID THEY FILLED). Over the weekend after that extermination visit, we saw more mice and created a new maintenance ticket requesting that staff inspect the apartment for holes again.

Maintenance came to inspect the unit for holes (again). Initially, they asserted they had already covered up all holes, but after we persisted they inspected the unit again and found "another hole" under the kitchen sink, which they then covered up. Just an hour later, we saw a mouse!

This place was terrible to live in, the management continually gaslit us, the maintenance never fixed the issue, and we had an exterminator visit us constantly.

I moved here December 1st and got to experience how they handle emergencies maintenance issues, and how they deal with tenants. This is the most amazing apartment I've ever lived in and trust me I've lived in a few and every neighborhood in every quadrant of DC. The maintenance by far are the most amazing maintenance crew friendly accommodating Jaque and Yomi have the most amazing experience in spirits and stay very professional no matter what the situation is. Jonathan and Justin a very accommodating as well Jonathan got me approved in less than a day. I am very grateful to Jonathan Justin has an amazing Spirit as well. I don't plan on moving ever again as long as circumstances permitted if my apartment has the most amazing view not to mention the amenities the pool, gym store ,restaurant, business meeting room and the conciergerie yes or free coffee free tea and we can actually come downstairs and watch TV or entertain our guests downstairs if we're not in the mood to be in our Apartments you don't even have to leave the a r g o n n e for anything everything is right here. It's in one of the best neighborhoods in Washington DC and sure there's crime but we're isn't there crime it's not as frequent here I give them five stars because the CIM group has been...

The leasing office at this building suggested a twice-monthly payment plan, which was faithfully executed for nearly 5 years, and then when it came time for us to move to a different place, they decided to state that we were a "negligent/late tenant, " despite the agreed-upon twice monthly payments and our history of 4 years of paying our rent. Their vindictiveness cost us the security deposit (almost one month's rent) at the new location. We never even thought to ask if the Argonne would behave in such a manner before starting a new lease. We underestimated their pettiness and were quite disappointed that paying rent faithfully for 4 years meant nothing - long-term residency is just expected/exploited for money in this building. AVOID - PLENTY OF NICER BUILDING OPTIONS ON THE STREET WHO ARE ALSO HAPPY TO TAKE YOUR MONEY - if you're lucky, those places will also provide deals instead of trying to trick you...
