Went came out of there (i normally do not do reviews unless I have had the worse customer service). I receive my first check and was looking around for a cash check (coming from VA beach there were plenty of these at every corner and did it require you to have a membership like they do in D.C. which is odd. This location which is Cash Nā Go and not Cash Depot red flag #1. Walked inside (not fully aware of the policy of not signing your check which is also weird because normal cash check do not require that is you have your check and your name is on the check ahaha strike #2. When the female representative (assuming latino based business since the manager the male had a accent when I called beforehand) came back and said they cannot take it because it was sign I was trying to explain the the young lady that most business do not care because they verified check with the name on the ID to the check to make sure it is you. She then was rude and interrupted me and said āweāll go to a bank thenā and shoved my check to me. So I said ok I see why you have a lot of not so nice reviews and said have a good day. I call the āmanagerā and let him know about how his employee was rude and not even trying to assist he hung up the phone in the middle of the conversation and refuse to give me his name strike #3. So now I am writing the a review on each site (yelp, google, etc.) I am a supervisor in the healthcare myself and I have never experienced such racially profiled, disrespectful, non-helpful assistance ever (I am not discriminating against anyoneās race or ethnicity, right is right and wrong is wrong. I am not sure if their demeanor comes from the location of the business however that is no way to treat any consumer who is asking for services. Btw they are not on the BBB website either...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is pretty good for cashing payroll checks (that's all I've ever done there so I can't comment on anything else) the percentage rates for the fees are good, and the first time you go (or probably any time if you ask) they give you the option to get a ria card that you can use in the future instead of your ID and whatnot to swipe when cashing your check to speed things up. I think you can also use it for other things (although I'm not sure exactly what), but I like that I can just give them the card and then that's it, no asking for your phone number or ID or anything else - it really does seem to go way faster with the card. Unfortunately I lost mine a long time ago, but I still go here when I'm in the area since they have good rates and for the most part they're all very friendly. They're definitely worth a shot if you're deciding between the check cashing places...
