
We were introduced to The Lab DC through my son’s previous school where he took breakdancing as an afterschool enrichment activity. We officially started at The Lab DC in the summer of 2023. It has been a warm welcome into the community. The coaches are top tier in their craft - both in skill and knowledge - and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is a community where everyone belongs.
My son has been with Coach DQ for the last two seasons and he has been a phenomenal coach and mentor to him. Coach DQ’s passion for breakdancing is seen through his teaching style. His classes do not only focus on movement; but also encourages and builds confidence in the next generation of breakers. This teaching method has increased my son’s love for the dance style and has given him the faith to unwaveringly progress in this style of dance.

It's never a dull moment and breakdancing has always been one of those really cool but underrated niche. The staff is superb, from Coach Eugene to Darya and Kiana.
