Capitol Hill Supermarket — Local services in Washington

I reside in the vicinity and visit this establishment often. Typically, I opt for a breakfast combo consisting of egg, cheese, sausages, and whole wheat bread, which amounts to $6.04 each day. The cashier, usually a nice lady, is consistently efficient, and I've never encountered any issues with my orders. I truly value her excellent service. Today, there was an extremely rude man standing behind the cashier counter. He appeared downcast, and depressed, gazing emptily into the distance. Following my usual order, I received a burrito (not the whole wheat bread sandwich). Upon trying to verify if it was indeed mine, the man insisted that the burrito was what I had ordered and demanded an additional $1.75. I reiterated that it was not what I wanted, but he insisted on the extra charge. This is really not a big deal, and if the guy had managed it properly, I would have simply paid the additional charge and left. I fully understand that misunderstandings can occur with customer orders. However, this individual's rudeness and lack of professionalism are unacceptable. He continuously accused me of deliberately "misplacing" the order to avoid paying the $1.75. As a loyal customer, this is the treatment I receive. It's utterly repulsive. I usually find the positives in spaces and rarely leave negative reviews but I wish I read the negative reviews about this place before wasting my time heading over there Of course the prices are higher due to being a small business I can excuse that. What I can't excuse is the cleanliness of the place. They have a rodent problem. I was going to get things to make sandwiches for the week and at least five or more pieces of bread packages had bites taken out of them and I know the place knows because it's several glue traps in the corner on all shelves but clearly that isn't working.
