Everyone Home DC — Local services in Washington

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I was a client of Everyone Home DC in January 2020 as a former case manager who is homeless, I am highly disappointed. Apparently, my case manager no longer worked there and no one back filled for him. I never received any follow up calls or assistance. It is nearly impossible to get in contact with anyone due to the automatic telephone system. I am still homeless and I needed assistance with getting the proper documentation for my daughter to register for the upcoming school year. When I was able to get in contact with someone, I was informed that I was dropped as a client because of non-engagement. They stated that they attempted to call me (which they did not). It seems that DC Department of Human Services and their umbrella programs are very unorganized and not client focused. I have never experienced anything like this and I am highly disappointed. No empathy, no sympathy, no compassion, incompetence, and complete lies form an organization that is supposed to help individuals with...

I had an appointment with charity shipmon, Aug12 at 2pm. She called me that day at noon, she stated she called me early because she had other clients she had to attend to which was extremely unprofessional as if I was not important. Later that day I tried calling her back because the time she called me was inconvenient and she didn’t answer. I sent two emails and I never got a response still to this day. No one has reached out to me when she was supposed to be my worker to help me find housing. This program has not help me like they said they would in order to stay with my mom they was supposed to pay one of her utilities bills. I came in contact with us program in august and has two caseworkers. So I sent in all the required paperwork to get the bill paid. Due to my interview they can only “help me with my rent for 4 months when I do find a place.” I am a single mother of two who cnt keep a job because of babysitting issues.
